Indian Style Hockey Rules!!!
by Arv Singh on Sep 12, 2011 02:43 PM  | Hide replies

Michael Nobbs brought back the traditional Indian style and got results from it. Congratulations to the entire team, coaches, and management of making it happen.

* The players deserve this win for their hardwork and having faith in tehmselves

* HI and IHF administrators will now try to steal the limelight. Earlier they tried their best to destroy Indian Hockey by constant bickering ang politics.

* Where are the corporate sponsors? Indian national players ran out of shoes in this tournament and two players played with running trainers as their only pair of turf shoes were broken.

* Let's try to bring back Sardars Singh, Sandeep Singh, Arjun Halappa who missed out on the tournament due to politics. These three players are the best in the world in their respective positions. The two year ban by HI means that they will miss playing for the country in their prime.

I hope better sense prevails upon thes feuding officials and players for the sake of the Indian Hockey.

great victory

This young side made India proud, despite mearge compensation and apathy of Indian media and establishment.
Was reading a couple a days back few of the hockey national players were forced to play with old wornout shoes as there was delay in supply and they could not afford 5000-7000rs shoes. Imagine that in context of cricket.
Kindly respect this talented lot and compensate them reasonably.
Even Indian national hockey's victory is finding lesser media space then loss of India cricket team.

Irony o f indian hockey
by nayan samal on Sep 12, 2011 12:49 PM  | Hide replies

Look at this.such a prestigious tournament the tean won n no media coverage.neither did anybody from the govt announced any incentives. Thats the irony of indian sports apart from cricket.the cricket team lost everything but still gets all the f... coverage.

Match telecast
by abhaykumar shinde on Sep 12, 2011 12:30 PM

We are often try to watch india's matches when our team abroad. But unfortunately no channels show these matches, even chance that TRP of private channel may increase. But bangladesh-zimbabve match got more importance than international hockey match. Also it is very shameful that while ordinary national level cricet player drawing lakhs of ruppes and hockey international player could not purchase shoe to play on turf.
