Last WC,Messi created every goal Argentina scored and was in top 10 contenders for the golden ball.. People should understnd that football is a game of 11 players and everyone needs to perform...Argentina currently has a crappy midfield and a terrible defence.. in the last copa america..Messi dropped to midfield and played a xavi-sque role and fed crosses to higuain and di maria only for them to waste it... Accusing Messi for argentina's failure is like accusing Sachin for losing 96 WC .... When Messi gets a good playmaker and a decent defence..he'll bring a WC to argentina....

In the Germany game Messi was missing in action, he was shut down - He did NOTHING. Against the same Germans Xavi was Xavi.
Let it go.. Even the Argentine crowd was booing him off the field during the Copa held in Argentina.

Once again u show ur ignorance.. Messi is a forward and Xavi is a midfield... A forward can perform only if the midfield is good and gives them good balls.... also Spain had a good defence compared to argentina... Dont jus blabber with ur half baked knowledge on football

Yeah - Messi played behind in midfield in the German game. You were claiming he was great in Copa in midfield. He was awful in the German game - did absolutely nothing! At least Di Maria et al had a shot close on goal.
In the Copa he did absolutely nothing. Blaming Higuain etc is ridiculous. They were bad and so was Messi. That is why the Argentine press savaged him, the people booed him and Uruguay fans mocked him - saying go play in Europe with sissy defenses and not in International football where Messi is demonstrably awful....
Now compare to Maradona and Zidane and he is not even in the same zipcode. Far far behind.
I have followed football since the early days of Zico and Flamenco - so no lessons needed from you.
Indeed he is a good footballer,but he won only for his club Barca,he never scored 4 Arg in WC & Copa America,I place Forlan b4 him,he has won Europa with Athletico madrid in 201o,in the same year he steered Uruguay to SF of WC,in 2011 he brought glory to Uruguay after winning Copa America,Diego Forlan has brought glory in all the tournaments,on the other hand Me$$i requries his barca stooges to score in CL.

this is wrong.. messi cannot carry argentina alone. other players in argentina squad do not play well as a team.
