Novak is the favourite for the french open title
by rocky on May 17, 2011 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

djokovic 's strategy is plain simple, which is to engage nadal is longer rallies and worn him out...
djokovic is taller and weighs lesser than nadal and is built for the kill... its always a pleasure to watch djokovic and cant be said the same of nadal, unless you can digest his dirty mannerism of yanking..

Another fedex fan who hate Nadal.
Look man, there is no doubt Nova is playing best tennis right nw but can u simply hate one person who have 9 slams, only 5th or may b 6th player to complete slam.
Have to haeart to accept other supremacy apart from ur liking.
It was Federer for many years, then Nadal 4 few yrs and Now Nova in this year, its not gonna last with any1 my frnd

You want to know where does Federer stands nowadays. Look at 2011 stats of following players:

R.Nadal
Won - 37
Lost - 5
Title - 2

N.Djokovic
Won - 39
Lost - 0
Title - 6

R.Federer
Won - 28
Lost - 7
Title - 1

If you think Federer is nowhere near to Nadal in current date than just compare Nadal stats with Djokovic and stop calling Nadal as best. Wait for French Open and Djonovic will be number 1. Nadal peak is past now. He can never regain his form of 2008. Nadal can never dominated in tennis circuit like Federer did between 2003-2008.

this aishwarya patil is not able to digest nadal's decline..i am seeing many nadal supporters takind federer's name unnecessarily so that they can console themselves..becuase they cant say anything about djokovic as he is in red hot form:)if federers grandslam number remains at 16, then nadal's number also going to remain at 9..sorry to all nadal fans for telling the fact.

On the contrary, I am very happy to see Nadal losing; it would be very boring if somebody were to win all the time without a fight, to call Nadal's losses to Djokovic in a couple of matches a decline, is rather premature, and the point will be well established after the French Open.
While these two are fighting it out at the top, what has Federer been doing? Losing to lowly ranked players in early rounds, and talking big, that he is still a contender for year ending World No. 1 title. I wonder if even he takes it seriously.
While Anurag Rathore has shown some courage in stepping out with some stats he thinks only he knows, Dr. Vasudevan and Kareem seem to have retired. Good for rediff!

these nadal fans never change..all i am saying is why do u have to take federers name when talking about djokovic and nadal..if federer talks big that is his confidence..he never said anything bad about any player..if he says he is confident what is your problem?? as i told the fact is u r not able to digest nadals losses and starting to think about matches where nadal beat federer...federer has reached some 23 consecutive semi finals and that speaks a lot..if federer is not playing well now,its becuase he past his prime and age..what is your problem? we federer fans are happy with his record and we dont say anything bad about nadal..unlike nadal fans who always have to say something about federer..

The more important French Open is right here - Vamos Rafa
by Another Critic on May 16, 2011 07:05 PM

I will support you forever in good and bad times as ups and downs are part of any playing career. You are my favorite tennis player forever. You are an example on and off the court - hard work, determination, attention to detail, fighting ability, passion, humility, consistency etc.

You have reached 6 consecutive finals and won 2. You have beaten all of them and have fallen for one Djokovic in all these tournaments at the final hurdle. Djokovic certainly has studied your game and figured out to defeat you. I am sure you will figure out Djokovic's game too and start defeating him again like you always did before.

French Open is right here and I hope you to see your best in the next three weeks and see you winning French.

There used to be a player called Roger Federer. Does any one know where he is nowadays?
And there used to be know-all experts called Anurag Rathore and Dr V Vasudevan. Haven't heard from them for a long time.
And by the way, can one of these experts give me a list of players who have NOT been able to beat Federer yet? It has got to be a short list.

haha, been living under a rock recently ?
Roger is currently the third best player of the year. Before this tournament, he was the second best player of the year. Not bad considering, he is ancient at 29.
I'm just waiting for people to say Nadal is useless because he couldn't even take a set of Djoko on his favorite surface. King of Clay right..haha...
People say Federer is not all that good because he had no competition. Same is the case for Nadal, no competition except Federer which is why he won so much. Now that Djoko has grown some balls, he's beating people.

by Kd Narang on May 16, 2011 01:35 PM  | Hide replies

Excellent Run by Djoko.. No Doubt....
However When it comes to AN Impossible Task OF Proving Majority in BOTH aspects i.e
World No 1 Position AND Gran Slam ,
ALL Major players have failed.
SEE below who have failed...
Roger Federer - Failed
Rafa Nadal - Failed
Tiger woods - Failed
Steffi Graf , Martina Navratilova, chris Evert,
Jack Nicklaus ( Golf ) ALL Failed.
Under this situation WHO Can Really Prove Majority ???
By Majority , it means
JUST Guess What I mean by Majority at BOTH aspects.
Question is important because EVERY ONE,
I repeat EVERY ONE have failed ....

How true u r...
But having said that, he is simply unplayble right now, Rolland garos is diffrnt game altogether by the way, when Rafa lost it in 2009, no one thought he will back and win it again but he back and won it in style.
If Nova can keep his fitness intact he is d man to beat but Rafa will come back with some game plan as he is d only player on court who always have more that one game plan 4 every player.

No doubt Djokovic's game is red hot now. He's playing at a different level. Now that FedUp has been reduced to an irrelevent journeyman on the tour,it's the Rafa-Djoker rivalry that's gonna dominate the scene.I still think Rafa is the favorite at the French..he owns the tournament,it's a Grand Slam scenario and ost importantly it's a 5 set show...so with his superior stamina I'd still say Rafa's the favorite.Tennis is the winner, as long as both of them meet in the final again and play at their best without injury trouble.I hope FedUp manages to scrape trhough to the semis,so we can watch another FedUp-Rafa game.No doubt who's gonna win though.Vamos Rafa

Loser..u always say something about federer when nadal loses..accept the fact that djokovic is better than nadal right now..and also accept the fact that federer was great and will be great..for you if nadal loses against djokovic, then tennis is the winner..but if nadal wins, only nadal is the winner..if u r a nadal fan appreaciate him..but dont say anything bad about other players..at the end of the day all grandslam winners are good and everybone deserves respect.. (btw, i am neutral who loves all three players nadal, federer and djokovic)

Read his first line properly my dear, he accepted his game is on diffrnt level that means better than any1 else including Rafa, u cant beat Rafa 4 times in row (Only second Player) if u r not playing better than him.
He hasnt said a word against any player, he is pointing finger on those crying fan who start comparing Rafa with Fedex, Fed is ultimate king of Tennis, Nadal has only reach 60% where Fed is and Nova has just born.
