The Serena Syndrome
by kiran bagade on Jun 25, 2011 10:06 AM

Now, who in the world would prefer to watch a Serena or Venus on Centre court, as against the poetry on court genius of the Federers,Nadals and Novaks.

This is'nt sexist, any which way, but pure TRP's at play.

Wake up, the Sister' Williams act is past the sell by date.

Tell her that despite of being seven times champion, Sampras was assigned court number 2 in his 2nd round match in Wimbledon 2002 (which turned out to be his last match at Wimbledon as he lost in five sets that day and then retired later that year after winning the US Open). The current No. 2 Court is a new court which is much better than the old court where Sampras played in 2002 (which is now the No. 3 Court). Regarding Nadal and other top male players always playing at the center court, today Nadal is playing at No. 1 court (and not the Center Court). Yesterday, Djokovic played at No. 1 Court.
