Ranking
by aftab alam on Jun 23, 2011 05:26 PM  | Hide replies

Amazing ranking system in Tennis.
Nadal won 3 slam last year & Nova won 1 so Nadal finish 1st in ranking.
Current year, Nova won 1 and so the Nadal is.
Now, even if Nadal will win Wimbledon and Nova reach final, he will still become number 1, isnt it strange, Even after holding two slam of current year he will slip to number-2

15 tournament 4 GS make the aggregate ranking (approximate- can be 20 or 21)
not only Djoker, if nadal cannot reach final & fed won he will be no 1.
GS are just four tournament for 8000 points.
year end will be very tough for Nadal, he need to win atleast 2-3 tournament after wimbeldon, to end year end no1 ranking.
till now nadal has 3 GS 3 other.
Remeber 2010-fed has 2 gs & Nadal 1 GS, when Nadal become No 1 & Nobody in the world question it but in 2008 when fed was having 2 GS , Nadal 2 GS-everybody in media question why fed is No 1 - it include my fav becker also

He wasnt looking fit enuf my frnd, i doubt he will b able to come back and win another 3 set, anyway Pedro will also find difficult to over come Nadal, For Nadal Wimbledon will start from SF, i will still say he is firm favourite to win den its Fedex follow with Nova and Andy.

Fedex

Won title after title when there was no proper competition before him- but is unable to win anything now that there are formidable competitors before him. He profited from the waning brillaince of pete sampras as he aged and the fact that Nadal was just starting up the ladder.

And don't tell me he is older now and that's why- Sampras dominated well into his thirties even with greats playing against him all through his career.

Its true dat Fedex wasnt having d player around as Nadal having.
But by no mean u can undermine Fedex achvmnt, he has been proven all time great and Nadal still have long way to go to over par Roger even though he has dominated Fedex almost through out.

competion now ?
same old logic by fed hater.
fed benefit from pete aging & fed is going younger now: wonderful.
at age 27 : he won 3 gs, 28 : 1 gs, 29 : final of one & semifinal of other.
could have regain number 1 next week: son in a competion what you want?
he can create history next week, if he won: it will be seven matching pete & will match pete highest no at no 1, this is with full competion.
for your kind information, before fed: hewit, safin, rodick, gustavo, ferer all won gs, except two all are playing.

Nadal looks unstoppable ....
by Hooter on Jun 23, 2011 09:17 AM

If somebody watched yesterday's match with Sweeting, he will be left wondering what is it takes to beat this man !

Nadal no doubt supremely talented and looks in great touch currently.

Fedex and Djokovitch will find it extremely hard if they want to overcome this man.

I will place my money on Nadal for this Wimbeldon.
