I am equally flummoxed too.. The greatest Grass court player has no memorable matches??
Edberg was indeed a treat to watch.. Every stroke is poetic, every movement lyrical. You need to see it to believe it.. His serve and volley game was so exciting to watch. His wimby finals against Becker were the best..

Edberg was indeed the best player to watch as a spectator.........always at his impeccable behaviour- never throwing a tantrum and keeping his calm.
He had the best serving motion espceially for that kick serve which he would invariably follow in to volley.........Yeah talking of volleys - what a volleyer he was. Poetry in motion - fantastic hands at the net - always caressing the ball and not slaughtering it like the players of today.
The ATP sportsmanship award is rightly named after the ever great Stefan Edberg.

I remember a french open final where Edberg played his serve and volley game even on clay court against michael chang and expectedly lost
