Why can't our team sustain for 90 minutes
by socorro mascarenhas on Jun 21, 2011 08:48 AM

Of late, all matches played by India is best played in the first fifteen minutes. If they are lucky they score a goal and after the elapsed of about 15 minutes, they play like passengers. There is no direction to the kicks, no proper feeding, no proper passing, no proper attack. Just keep on kicking aimlessly. We were lucky to escape with a 1-3 margin. It is so disappointing to see them playing in this way. It is high time that our players sustain for the full 90 minutes with strength, stamina, perfection, attacks, defending, proper marking and passing. I hope that our new India coach, Armando Colaco, who had a successful stint with Dempo S. C. of Goa will be successful with this current assignment. I am sure that he will be a success because the man knows what he has and what he wants to do. But I only hope that he be given a free hand without any interferences from the AIFF who are used to being in slumber and only wakes up to interfere, meddle and criticise even if someone is doing good. In the present scenario when one more team JCT disbanded, it is high time that everyone makes sincere efforts to raise football to glorious heights. All the best Armando Colaco and we hope that the successful run you are having at Dempos will also be extended to our Indian National team.

INDIA LUCKY TO GET AWAY WITH 3-1
by damodaran mohan on Jun 20, 2011 01:49 PM

Qatar was a better side but they too made lot of mistakes.I wonder if India could not even go past this average Qatar side how can they expect to qualify ? The worst part was the way they were losing possession of the ball repeatedly within seconds 9 out of 10 times. And wrong passes were galore.Marking was poor leaving big gaping holes in the defence.India has to go long a way.In fact they were lucky to get away with 3-1 margin.
