Re: Great article, Djokovic deserves to be No. 1

Novak has found how to beat Rafa better than how he can beat Roger. Roger defeated Novak in FO Semi final in May this year. But Rafa got beaten 5 times this year by Novak.
It is all a mental factor. Before right handed Federer was dominated by a left-handed Nadal and now a left-hander is being dominated by a right hander, what a change of guard. Not only that Djokovic has taken the #1 ranking from Nadal. All we can see in the future will be the greatest rivalry of all time, Novak vs Nadal

He was but not any more, he is been extremely dominated by all current players either tops seeds or average ranked players
Serbia is War troubled/Poor country Djoko got Hero's Welcome BUT he won't get much of ENDORSEMENTS DEAL like Nadal and Federer. Wimbledon won't help himfinancially. Today he may be as popular in the World as Sachin or MSD. But his Annual earnings is around 12-13 million Dollars It won't cross 15-16 million USD. Cricket may be popular in Just 15-20 countries, But Endorsement Power of MSD and sachin is much higher than Djoko. He can shift to another country like Germany ,France, England etc, and he can see his earnings touch 25-30 million Dollars !! He is in wrong country, earning wise ..

Why does it have to be only about money? In any case, he is perhaps in the top .001% of people in the world money wise.

you fool what has country to do with money. first tennis is one of the richest games on earth. secondly until 2008 more than half of the swiss population were not interested in federer but a lady skier, still federer was the richest non american athlete. MSD And sachin earn mere peanuts even being from cash rich india country. you need to be brand not a sport to earn money. these tennis players have their own private jets, even our own mahesh bhupati and leander paes are filthy rich only by prize money. see the shares for tom tailor brand they have risen after djokos winning streak, endorsments dont come in a night , when they come, you can beat MSD and sachin by leaps and bounds. still now Michael shumachi, and mike tyson(not playing now) were richer than sachin 12.5 times. tennis is rich and players are filthy rich. common fedex weras a 42 crore rolex watch on a presentation ceremony and nadal plays with a 5 crore sports watch..........................just imagine the earn money for the undie they wear. cricket is still third world against tennis golf football and american football. leave it i have to be celebrating nadals loss now
I am very happy for Novak. Firstly, because he won a tournament like wimbledon and secondly, he beat the best in the business Rafa. Congrats Novak and I hope many more slams are on its way.
Rafa was totally out of form on the final as he could not take it anymore on his hair line fracture incurred during his pre-quarter final match. Even though x-ray confirmed it, he continued with no complaint. It was only after the fianls it was revealed that he played with injured leg. Otherwise the person who convers each & every corner of the match wudnt have got defeated on grass court. This defeat would certainly remain in Rafas mind & i wont be surprised if Rafa humiliated Djokovic in near future when he is fully fit. Rafa is a sort of player who loves challenges & works hard to regain supremacy. This has now opened the tennis to newer rivalry between 3 men.. Rafa, djokovi & fedex. At the end it is the tennis which is going to win among the 3 way battle

The fact was Rafa was mentally beaten up by Djokovic, the four final loss really made him vulnerable, that is the reason. The same thing happened to Federer when he faced Nadal and now it is happening to Nadal too. That is the only matter, not the form

you must be a family member since you know so much about his injury. I wonder which injury stopped Nadal in previous four meetings.
The truth is, Djokovic has much more complete game than Nadals defensive & physical play at the moment.
