Congrats Sania. There were 100 odd messages on rediff when SAINA NEHWAL became World No 2, I was among first 10 to congratulate her. Even though I am muslim I like BOTH- Saina and Sania. Unfortunatly rediff Readers are yet to congratulate her for being No 2 in World. Reason is SIMPLE , Sania Mirza follows particular holy Book which "THEY" Don't like. Sports Lovers are expected to be Secular . Those who go by Religion will continue to send hate messages for Sania. When will "they" grow -up and praise Muslim Athelete ?? I congratulate Sania. She is the firstnwoman athlete who put us on the world stage even before Saina. Both of them are awesome athletes. While cricketers unfairly get all the accolade, all other sports disciplines lag behind due to the myopic nature of Indian sports fans or should insay ignorance.

its not because of religion but because people expected more and she failed to deliver.. she is second as doubles team not second ranked doubles player. in tennis doubles is not as prestigious we expect something in singles, saina has won tournaments and has been top ranked too.. still she doesn't have much following.. religion is the last thing to have anything to do with it..

Shakil, Muslim women are supposed to be covered in purdah and hijab all the time..How come your group didn't object to Sania's progress (both on attire and play)
