Time has come to see great rivalry between Djokovic and Murray like Nadal and Federer. I think both will meet many times in Grandslam finals in future. Federer and Nadal domination is near to end. Federer is at the last stage of his carrer while Nadal is injury prone.
Tim Henman was always called and Englishman by the English press and he was never called a Brit. Now Murray is a Scot and the English press wants to lay claims to him and calls him a Brit.

It just tells even none from scotland has won a grand slam in the past 75 yrs. Sometimes murray is also referred to as the scotsman. Even I felt the same way, why not call him from scotland, since scotland is a seperate country. The word Great Britain can very well be avoided.
Djokovic most certainly is a worthy winner of the singles title. His victory also signals arrival of fresh blood at the top. No doubt, Nadal-Djokovic is going to be the next big rivalry on the circuit. Djokovic has worked hard for this, and the hard work clearly showed in the manner he made short work of Berdych, Federer and finally Murray. Some time back, doubts were being raised about Djokovic's ability to physically last two weeks of a Grand Slam tournament, as he has at least thrice in the past surrendered mid-way due to exhaustion. This time, he not just lasted two weeks, he never let the intensity of his play drop; something we have seen Nadal doing lately. Nearly 700 points separate him and Federer. Djokovic should be able to close this gap latest by Wimbledon, and after that it will be between him and Nadal. The amazing thing is, that Djokovic always believed that he could become no. 1 despite Federer and Nadal! Federer, on the other hand can improve on his record of most successive quarter finals in Grand Slams, but not by much. He might find himself struggling to remain in Top 5 by the end of 2011. With so many players challenging him, it will be a tough ask.

For sure he will do well in Australian and US Open. Might not have that level of success in French or Wimbledon.

Agree with your assessment. Djoko is going to give a tough challenge to Nadal in the coming years. Fed better retire by 2012 or he will become like Rahul Dravid.

hehehehheeee...."Nearly 700 points separate him and Federer. Djokovic should be able to close this gap latest by Wimbledon, and after that it will be between him and Nadal." ------------------------------------ Federer can earn a lot of points from Miami,Key Biscane,Rome masters.....from these 3 masters, he had last yr earned only 90 points....sure this yr hez going to earn much more points in these 3 ...
btw, don't be so assured of Djkovic's fitness coz he has a breathing problem tendency....

Sure bro. But that does not hold true for the British having ruled India. Anybody can enslave & rule this brainless, meek, sissy entity easily. History is witness.....

Andy really played well in semifinal match, I was very impressed. But in the finals Andy was not played upto his potential. I could feel he was stiff and not moving well. Full credit to Djokovic for playing his best tennis and for being respectful towards his fellow players like Roger, Rafael and Andy. Djoker also won the Aussies heart by saying kind words to the victims of floods.
