Well, pardon the pun, but the Asia Cup, with Japan's win, has stayed in Asia.
My humble observations/notes:
1. Let us encourage the sport in India and thank our heroes for the effort they put in the tournament
2. The West Asian Nations were pathetic. When you consider that:
a) None of them featured in the last WC and
b) They were poor in their own backyard with 8 out of 16 participants (50%), 4 out of 8 QFs (50%) and 0 out of 4 SFs (0%)
You know that they have a problem, and Asian football, in the near future, may be dominated by Japan, S.Korea, Australia and perhaps Uzbekistan.
3. S. Korea and Uzbekistan shall probably get stronger and showed good skills
4. Defence was the undoing for Syria, China and Uzbekistan
5. Overall, the level of play, especially after the exposure gained by the Asians playing abroad and by the inclusion of Australia, has gone better
6. The infra in Qatar seemed fine but crowds were low
7. China fielded a young squad, began brilliantly and then went into "Self Destruct" mode! Sad to see that China and India are still in the "Hibernate" mode
What do you say friends?

(1)Crowd for india v/s baharain was fine..
(2)china is far better than India.
(3) India is improving but in slow pace.
(4) we will qaulify for 2018 world cup.Check the progress of Indian Arrows in I League.
(5) Abt West asians,Iran is very strong.
(6) In India ,we need to popularise the game in Hindi lands(UP,Harayana,Rajasthan,MP,Gujarat). then we can improve a lot

Japan At its best

I was at the stadium to watch the entire match and Japan throughly deserved to win the crown. Aussies were not up to the mark like they were in the Semis. End of the day it was a fitting finale for the AFC and am licky to be a part of it.

Japan proved mettle

Saw the entire match.Australians with their better physique and height dominated 1st half with aerial tussles.Missed some chances.Though Aussies lacked skill they played power game forcing Japan to defend.it did not look like a final but a one sided game.
From the 2nd half the Japanese showed their class by virtue of indomitable temperament and stamina and controlled the game.
Japs were more organised in forming attacks as well as defence.
The goal was superb but the player was totally unmarked when the minus flew in.
Reminded about 2010 WC final as the Goal came 11 minute before end of extra time. But surely Aussies did not play rough game like the Dutch nor the Japs were as skillful as the spanish team!
Seemed Asian football has acquired some satus at last!

Lucky to watch the final live in stadium.
It was a real good match .
Scoreline doesn't suggest intensity of the match
