What an attitude ! Is AIFF thinking the team is as strong as Japanese or Korean team ! FIFA allows players to play for another country if he has origin background from that particular nation. Passport is not a clause at any point ! then why is AIFF having problem with it ?
Why so stiff rules ? Can't he do it with OCI card ? That will make him an Indian Citizen anyway.
We badly need him to raise the profile of football in our country . govt. should ensure that he plays for India. Otherwise India as a country of young ppl should not vote for this Govt. . We do not feel proud by hearing about the corrupt politician but we feel proud shen sports persons bring laurels to our nation. If govt. fails to make an exception in his case I definately will not vote for this govt. I urge others also to follow suit.
