If you are being neglected and nobody cares for you in spite of all the hard work you do for the country, please say some good words about a cricketer, particularly Tendulkar . The media will put you on the top.

And you will get the more than attention than you deserve, not for your outstanding contribution, but for praising a cricketer. :-))

Baichung, at last, learnt this skill and now he is media's darling now.

thats a mean thing to say...Bhutia is a footballer par excellence and India is proud to have him...FOOTBALL is a global sport except in India where it takes a backseat to Cricket for some strange reason...Tendulkar a great personality himself besides being the greatest cricketer, shouold stand beside Bhutia and inspire more footballers..India is shamefully not even in the football world map.

What Bob Houghton didn't mentioned is Sachin is at his best even after these years and Mr Bhutia I'm not sure if he is still at his best now.

Its very sad that we Indians give so much importance to Cricket which is played by only 7 to 8 countries whereas success in International Football is very difficult as its played by more than 150 countries.

Fine inspiration indeed

If you use Sachin as inspiration, you and Indian football will always be at the bottom. This is the case. Look at someone like Kumble for inspiration to know the meaning of winning against the odds.
