Like Cricket, be F1
by West Indian on Jan 07, 2011 08:26 PM

Till 1983, cricket had very less commercial touch to cricket. The other so called 'rich' contries controlled it. Subsequently it's big industry. Now BCCI has its SAY.
Similarly at the moment European countries are controlling this sport. But if you observe so many ASIAN contries are hosting this game. India will join them. So like 1983 world cup win, Indian Drivers will be pampered to inspired and enter this sport. The commercial aspect of it will follow soon.

everytime an indian joins any sport, he talks great about the club which karthikeyan is nown mentioning abt his team & car. The fact is a team like HRT can never grow without huge finanical resources. Instead of driving in NASCAR, i think narian has got it all wrong this time. HRT only want to catch in on poularity of Indian grand prix which i guess is going to be bigger & bigger in course of time. I think Indian drivers are not suited for F1 at all looking at their physique....

Praveen, LOLs...Do you know anything about F1? Do you know the physical req for a F1 driver? This is not WWF or WWE. The Physical requirements are different and Indians are quite apt for F1, only thing we lack is infrastructure and practice. Once we have better infrastructure, you will see lot of Indian drivers around.

y dont u for a change shut up, mr.aaron kumar. when he says, indian drivers are not suited, just agree. he is rite. do not pull out some exceptions and tell that u r fit. if u look at on an average 85% indians do not fit for any sports. within the 15% of indians some people have to get the right opportunity and no politics etc. hmmm ..

who said INDIANS r not FIT for F1. r they fit for cricket?? they havent won world since 1983 with hifi talents like tendulkar since then! indians cant come up in other sports only bcos of INDIANS only who hardly support sports other than cricket. IF people start supporting and watch all other sports obviously we can see lot of INDIAN CHAMPS b it F1,football,hockey,gymnastics,volleyball, swimming, etc!

Though I am not sure of the credentials of HRT, best wishes to karthikeyan for the F1 season. Really great to have an Indian driver back in F1.
