Ruthless on court yet soft off court.

I completely agree with other comments.....I salute to this great player and a great person.

Nadal....Champion at tennis and Champion at heart
by romi sharma on Feb 08, 2011 01:09 PM

I also like him very much. I remember him when he visited India, he was wearing an orange color t-shirt and a black shot. He flew to Bangalore along with his mother (think his sister also accompanied him) and came to Anantapur on road. He did not have a security to guard him. He played tennis and spoke to kids in a small room.

At that time, I thought if I had achieved what Nadal did, I would have closed my nose with a hand kerchief and stayed far from those kids.

Where is Spain and where is India. His academy also take care of education and health care needs of poor children. That day I had decided, if any player I have to admire, it has to be Nadal. It's only Nadal and no one like Nadal.

Proud to be a Nadal fan.

Great player and humble human being

I like Nadal so much. He set up a tennis academy through his foundation for under privileged kids in India. He also visited India last year with his family and spent time with poor kids. It's more than just a tennis academy.

Federer donated a huge amount to those who were affected by 2004 Tsunami in India when he visited. Do not compare Nadal and Federer. Both are good humans. federer is almost 6 years older than nadal. During his younger days Federer dominated Tennis like what was done by Laver, Newcombe,Borg, Sampras etc. Now it is nadals turn. Enjoy Tennis and do not take this to your blood stream.

Cut it. Still Federer comes across as an arrogant and pretentious person while Nadal is a humble and genuine person.
