Please keep the history to yourself ....
by Rishi Gaurav on Feb 03, 2011 12:16 PM

- Why do Liverpool fans keep living in the past! At every opportunity they throw the "our great history" line at every one? Is it because their present his so dodgy? :) Man U has a great history as well, but we still live in the present ... :)

- How can you even compare the departure of David Beckham with that of Torres. Beckham never wanted to go. He was sold by the manager, because of very public reasons. And he has never ever said one bad word about United till now. And will(and has) ALWAYS be welcomed back at Old Trafford.

Torres

I think torres looked very rusty recently....and believe it or not, he does not have any ball holding and dribbling skills...a number of times this season, he just lost possession because he tries to score the goal by himself but is not good in dribbling...
He has very good pace and shooting skills but is not a complete striker...
And i dont blame him....he's 26 and wants to win trophies and liverpool don't seem to win anything or going to champions league....and i think liverpool got good money...
I am a liverpool fan, and will remain so, but i really respect Torres's decision(but he should have avoided saying something like 'taken a step further' or something).
Today the team performance was excellent, quick short passing.
I hope Liverpool defeats Chelsea, spurs loose a couple of matches, City loose a few, and liverpool qualify for the top 4(wishful thinking, i know)....

The Dangers Remain
by Yakoub Khan on Feb 03, 2011 01:19 AM

1. The time it may take for Suarez & Carroll to settle down, and NGog is not good comparable to the two
2. The fact that Stevie G is overloaded in midfield
3. Their bench strength is sadly, below the level of the Gunners, Man City & Co.
4. The psychological impact, that this departure may have on LFC players
5. If they remain winless, players with ambition may leave, and the pressures in managing LFC shall grow and, in the meanwhile, MU, CFC & Arsenal will grow even bigger

Couldn't agree more

Torres leaving for champions league trophy is something I can comprehend, but leaving the way he did, shows that he never cared a damn about the club.

If he really wanted to leave he could have waited for the summer, given the team more time to replenish their resources.

Andy Carrol for 35mpounds is too much of a cost.
