I sincerely hope you have not been misquoted Mr Narang for that is indeed a shocking statement. You are looking at your narrow gains of winning an Olympic medal but that is small change in front of what the victims have undergone. What redemption would it give the Bhopal gas victims if Dow sponsors Olympics? By sponsoring Olympics Dow is not doing any charity. They are looking for big time global advertising which will enhance their revenues many times over. If Dow wants this crisis to blow over they should immediately look at compensating the victims of the worst industrial disaster in the world. That will be their redemption.
You are a great player, but u shud know that the road to redemption lies in compensating the bhopal gas tragedy victims, and not in giving money to olympics.
If some one can unearth the funds given to the Bhopal victims - I am sure more than 80 % must have been eaten away by politicians, bureaucrats and middle men . As a nation we have been great in mixing up issues and they creating confusion .FDI issue all in @G scam out on bail.Adarsh , CWG ,2g etc are all in the cup board already with FDI . Now the governance of the nation is left to dogs , a new scam comes out old one is forgotten .Bhopal issue has to be fought on separate grounds. Lokpal bill nothing much is achieved yet ,already politicians are at it with cry or begging for reservation to SC,ST,OBC, muslim ,women - what a trash they do all the time .
