I beleive 100% in my heart that messi is better than Maradona. I saw maradona play for argentina and napoli but i have seen a player in messi who is superior to diego. MESSI! Yes i agree he will have to win a world cup with argentina to be truely a footballing legend but in terms of talent and what he can do with the ball at his feet. I think he is the best i have ever seen.

Please!!! Let Messi single-footedly guide Argentina to at least one World Cup Finals (forget about winning the world cup), then even think of comparing him with Maradona. Barca is one of the best teams in the world with the best wingers, defenders and forwards in the team. Maradona alone took Napoli from the bottom to the top and he didn't play alongside stars as Messi does in Barca. Talking about opium addiction, it's not a performance enhancer, in fact it adversely affects your performance. Even then Maradona played like God. I hope we're talking about the footballers here, judging on how they perform in the field and not based on what kind of person they are in real life....

Moreover, he is a much better role model than the drug addict, with so many vices.

It will be a pity, if the opponents plot physical abuses to cotain him after failing to contain him in footballing. (Remember Maridona?) But, if the engage 3 players to control him phisically, others in braca will make it 5-0!!

Agreed. Right on spot. Now it is run & played by Politicians like: Jitley, Pawar, Lallu, Manohar Joshi, and businessmen like Mukesh (Mrs?) Mallya, etc. Its business &poltics. No more a game!
Good to see Mourinho cry like a baby unable to accept the dominance of and defeat to Barca. In the second leg would like to see more goals from the great boy messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa. Lets hope a 5-0 win again for Barca
Mesi, you are grreat & clean unlike Ronaldo. It is sheer joy to see this young player play foot ballwith the sincerity & honesty of a school boy. After King cup, many had written off Berca We are enjoying your rivalry with Ronaldo & Rooney.

well but the bad part is... he doesn't possibly play for the nation in the same spirit in the WC Soccer..

Messi is like Ryan Ten Doeschate...He's talented..he gets good team players in d club and he performs well... However,in the country setup...most of the players are a bit average and no creativity in the midfield..hence he cannot play well for argentina but for barca

Wrong , watch the last year match in which Argentina beat world champion spain , 4-1 . The whole spanish line was shaken by Messi alone .
Messi has proved time and again that he is justa class above all the others in his league.
The cry baby Jose, once again showed his "grapes are sour mentality", as if the whole world is conspiring against him.
There is so much similarity between Jose and Alex.....both are good coaches, but gain so much negative vibes from people due to off field antics and rash, irresponsible comments accusing anyone and everyone to conspire against them.

Please read Pep Guardiola's comments after King's cup final. He also sounded similar to Jose. Some days back even a cool customer like Carlo Ancelloti (of Chelsea FC) aslo had commented on similar lines. They all are same except that people like Jose go slightly overboard with criticism. It is natural. These type of antics add to the beautiful game (football). As long it does not harm anyone, we should just sit back and enjoy these things.

Yes, 0 - 0 with 70% possesion, and Barca looking as the only side to score...and remember that was in Bernabeu....even if it would have ended in 0 - 0 barca would have completely thrashed Real at Nou Camp.
What did you think would have happened if Pepe wasn't red carded??? If wishes were horses, beggars might ride.
