'Kroenke in talks to take control of Arsenal'

Great news for Arsenal fans...!!!!

Arsenal fans rejoice...
Kroenke could be the person who might bring about some relief to the tight finances which have prevented Wenger from spending big in transfer windows.

Now we can hope for atleast a couple of slightly big name signings in the summer.

SHILLONG, April 9 – The National Finals for Season 4 of Arsenal Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars was a high-octane playoff that witnessed Pandua SBS High School, Kolkata defeating St Anthony’s HS School, Shillong 2-1 to emerge victorious at Polo main stadium here today. The final phase of the competitions saw 16 teams from 15 cities (2 teams from Shillong) fighting for the trophy, paving their way through 31 keenly contested league and knockout matches. In the end, teams from St Anthony’s High School and Pandua SBS High School, Kolkata emerged as the finalists.
Speaking about the win, Bidyt Paul, coach of the winning team said, “Every game is tough and you need to be on top of your game to win it. All teams from the competition can look back at the wild ride that was the Arsenal Tata Tea Jaago Re Soccer Stars, Season 4 and appreciate how difficult the road to the finals was. It is really a fantastic endeavour on the part of Tata Tea and Arsenal FC to identify talent in this country and encourage the growth and popularity of Football in India. We convey our gratitude to Tata Tea for organizing such a tournament at a national level, which I am sure, will play a major role in popularizing the sport in the country.”

Felicitating Chester Paul, from OM Roy Memorial High School, Shillong as the ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the game, Head Scout Jamshid Nassiri exclaimed, “A

During the course of the tournament, Jamshed Nassiri has also identified 30 young talents to be trained by Arsenal coaches in India and in London. Further, 16 shortlisted kids from these 30 will represent India at the Arsenal International Soccer Festival in 2011, a press release states.
