The work should have completed at least a couple of months ahead of the games. Having failed in that aspects, the authorities should have supervised that the completed work will not be abused by workers as we have seen on TV- Pan chewers spitting all over and using toilets, spoiling mattresses etc. One thing we had to remember was that most of the labour force working on the site are not familiar with international standards of hygiene. Some one should have created an awareness to all the workers the ultimate goals, standards and targets. Officials overseeing the project failed miserably on all those accounts. It is the laid back attitude of our government officials.

Those who are criticising the poor pan chewing labourers should first ask these poor fellows - have they got their legitimate wages ? All of them are underpaid.

Who is talking about wages? So if they don't get wages, are they supposed to spit all over..is that you do at home if you don't get what you want!Come on grow up.

24/07/2010 Azharuddin denies relationship with Jwala Gutta New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin and Congress MP from Moradabad rubbished all rumours about his romantic relationship with the ace badminton player, Jwala Gutta, by describing her as just a "good friend." According to some media reports, Azharuddin has been dating Jwala and is on the verge of filing for divorce from his wife of 14 years Sangeeta Bijlani within a week.
During a press conference, Azaruddin termed all such reports as baseless and in bad taste.
"These reports are completely rubbish, baseless and are in bad taste. I am very hurt by all these. I know Jwala, she is a good friend of mine and to write such reports which are completely false and fabricated is disgusting," he said.
The former Indian skipper Azaruddin further said that such things are motivated by people in the Badminton Association of India, who want to tarnish his image since he tried to contest for the presidential elections last month..
