They should put in this hard work six months ago. What's the point in working hard now when the damage has been done and the country's image has already taken a hit.
I think there is a lesson for the Europeans and the white race in general. Before they come over to India, they should organize camps in their respective countries, where they simulate conditions prevalent in India. For example;people urinating on roads, people spitting, huge chunks of garbage on the roads, human excreta on the roads, dogs and cows crossing roads with humans, people scratching their private parts with great satisfaction, etc.

Good idea.
The problem lies with quality education. Our children are not taught the kind of values that are taught elsewhere in the world. Some of these are public hygiene and ettiquette, commitment to quality and safet etc.
Our kids are trained to win the 100 meter sprint in life, defeat fellow benchers get a highly paid techie job and go abroad.
Nobody cares about education reforms other than politicians interested in introducing more caste and religious quotas.

Agree with you. Our education system is at fault here. The basic objective of our education system is to make people fit to make money, not make them better individuals. That's why there is no dearth of engineers, doctors, accountants, businessmen, software engineers who are busy minting money but sadly, there is a dearth of quality human beings.

Government has handled everything quite well so far, offcourse a few lapses here and there. What the government did not do was hand over cash packets to the media and did not think of entertaining them with wine and women. I can understand why this noise and bad publicity for the government
I think the Common Wealth Games fiasco sums up the Indian mentality. It is this same mentality that saw the British ruling us for hundreds of years. For us, it's always me that takes precedence over the country. What do i have to gain, how much money will i make? The concept of Indian does not exist at all. We hail from different communities, different regions and perhaps that is our identity. The feeling of being Indian, the feeling of doing something for the country is just not there. I think it's time that India is disintegrated and separated into several small nations

al people,kalmadi sahib,dixit madam and manmohan sigh ji plus gill sahib must be given gold medals and ayyer sahib unhappy he could not make money out of rs. 77,000 crores project,thats why he blaming games,all other happy congress mens ,politicians ,as their swiss accounts swollen.,what we common middle class indians want is superb CWG games so far amnn d will be,only pakistann an Dchina like country using each other to ruin games ,sending terrorists ,but we indians will cpature all terrorists and afterwards only kalmadi shib will want to take credit odf all superb finish to games,actually all indian govt. will be creditable for last minute superb finish to CWG games and its running.
