In the apparent show of superiority complex, Indians actually suffer from an incredible degree of inferiority complex.
I am not even talking about the success or the lack of it in CWG preparations;
At an Indian friends home during a stopover in Dubai while on my way to Lahore from Chicago, I was watching an Indian TV channel where the much revered Aamir Khan starts admonishing or teaching fellow Indians on how to treat foreigners. He even tells them that they are making a living thanks to the courtesy of foreigner tourists, lest they and their children go hungry. He admonishes people spitting paan and rich moms stopping cars on the jewel of modern india the sea link to allow her son a leak. He also shows how bus traveller throws a banana skin on a tourist taking a video recording of their host nation. Incidentally, in all these cases the so called foreign tourists are neither black nor yellow; they are all perfect whites. My friend tells me that this ad called ATITHI DEVO BHAVA is created at the behest of none other than tourism ministry of Indian Govt and the Govt of India pays the TV channels for airing it.
Apparently, all this Athithi Devo Bhava is targeted for a good behaviour by Indians when the CWG Games are on so that all foreign tourists carry good feeling about India.
It doesnt occur to the Indian Govt and the so called elite and stiff upper lip private TV channels, that no Indian woman or man likes to pee in public if she has a toilet at home.

the peeing part could be something that prbably cant be helped but surely throwing a peel or spitting paan is not soemthing related to poverty? people can be poor but they can always use a dustbin. being clean has nothing to do with being rich. what the hell has it to do with inferiority complexity. and you please admit that in the east people dont have knowledge about westerners. they think it's ok to stare at them, have some fixed notions about western women. all these have to be told by someone even if it is just for money.

Just walk for a mile in the most posh area of South Bombay or in Delhi and see for yourself if you can find a dustbin.
Leave alone, a dust bin, do you have a proper pavement so that you can walk without disturbing vehicular traffic?
If dustbins are not there and pavements are allowed to encroach where on earth an Indian or a Pakistani can walk and throw banana peels?
Well, poor Indians and Pakistanis may stare at Westerners but you and I know that it is more because of curiosity than to embarrass them. It is the same people who take the trouble to speak in their English language even taking the trouble of feigning their accent so that the tourist feels comfortable.
Do you ever come across any westerner who was living in Delhi, Bombay, Lahore, Karachi even for a few years take the trouble of speaking in your language in your own city?
That is why I have used the word inferiority complex!

Even then there is no good competition. Chinese emerged as the largest medal holders in the last olympic medal tally!!!! Even if China decides to send its second best athletes,even then china will top the BRIC games..India can at best come up with a couple of bronze medals--that too after doping!!!
They fooled you all and mage a few hundred crores in the bargain..Sports in India is limited to man and woman playing on the bed..In that too most are pathetic!!!
