Nadal well one course to become the GREATEST
by Thoot on Sep 16, 2010 12:32 PM  | Hide replies

Nadal has proved to the World that he is a true Champion and is well on the path to become the "Greatest" the Tennis world has seen. He has to win 7 more GS titles to overcome Federer and that is assuming Federer doesn't win anymore and that target seems quite easy for Nadal given his total dominance in French and Wimbledon (oflate). May be by 27, he would have surpassed the 16 Federer has managed to accumulate till now. However, this is subject to Nadal's fitness level which is always a concern. If he remains fit for four more years, none can stop him from becoming the GREATEST. What is there more for this man to achieve ? Only the World series Masters is yet to be conquered and this time he has a real chance there given the kind of form he is in at the moment. Moreover given his very favourable H2H against Federer/Murray/Djokovic etc., he has proved as to how a good player he actually is.

Nadal was being humble if he said Federer is the greatest. When you defeat someone in 2 out of every 3 matches played, you know the other player is not the greatest and you don't agree that the other player is the greatest.

You say the "discussion is almost over" and then say "stop discussing" Make up your mind, seems like FFFs don't have clarity of mind.

Becuase they are poor frustrated Fed fans and they hate Rafa coz he crushes Fed every time. I see some of the Fed fans have become analyst now:-).....such as bango tango. I remember he is the one who said after Wimbledon that Rafa will never win US open, same was said by VS who claimed to have watched tennis since 1962. These guys seem to be disappeared from this discussion borad as they have nothing left to write:-)

He has got 9 grandslam titles so far. I'll accept him to be greatest until he can atleast match Roger's 16 grand slam titles. So still Nadal has to get 7 more gs for any comparisons with Roger Federer. Until then the nadal-federer discussions are closed.

My dear Friend, Nadal is wining the Grand Slam in front of 4 Grates Young Player playing in the same era (Novak, Murray, Roger), where us Roger First 12 Grand slam came only by defeating Roddick and Agasi etc...

So the comparison is baseless between these 2 players.

Roger cried on the Court on Nadal's First Australian open itself .., what he will feel if Nadal matches him :) .., Even after getting 16 GS federer still feels insecure ., Not sure why .., whether it is Nadal, Djocovick or Murrey he will always feel insecure hear after ..,

Any article or good comment on Nadal adds to your frustration? Does not it?

"Deco Turf".... he won on it in no time, "7 more gs"....he is getting better and better and will get there too. I don't think there's anyone on the circuit that can stop Rafa.

May be Roger won against Agassi, Sampras & Roddick etc.. but Rafa is the best because he has won against Roger itself on noumerous occassions & will do in the future. Roger will have to retire earlier than expected because of Rafa. Wamossss
