Nadal

There is absolutely no doubt that Nadal is going to win this one. The impact of this victory on the Points tally of the players is quite intersting. Nadal right now has 10745. He stands to gain 1280 more taking him to 12025. Federer meanwhile will stay at 7345, if he manages to get past Djokovic, which is 50-50.
The difference between no. 1 and no. 2 will be a staggering 5000 points.
It means Nadal is going to stay no. 1 throughout 2011 also.

Semis line up
by Guest on Sep 11, 2010 08:46 AM

Nadal as expected made it to semis and completing the final four just as I predicted. Its going to tough for him against youzhny though. It tough to pick youzhny as a winner against nadal. Youzhny has the edge in the sense that he is a much improved player. For nadal the surface is not his favourite and his game takes a set back enough for youzhny to squeeze through.

The final IMO should be federer vs youzhny.

On rediff any person can make same name account. It's up to people to recognize whi is commenting. If I talk nonsense by using your name what will you say.

am not interested in records. And what you said or predicted is least of my interest because I know it will not come true.About FedUp being 'superior' or 'all time best',that's debatable. He's one of the all timeb best,no doubt. But all time best??Debatable. And about being 'superior' to Nadal? We can only debate that at the end of both of their careers. So,quit your predictions and talk some sense instead.

I never hide from discussion if available here. Don't put my name without knowing what I said. One side you say I claimed Nadal will not win any GS beyond French Open and other side you say what you said or predicted is least of my interest. Either cover the whole conversation from 2008 or don't put my name.

I used your name in the context of being a pseudo expert who thinks too highly of himself, with annoying 'predictions'.You also said Nadal's career was finished in'09,that he would not win French and Wimbledon'09,etc....so we all know how 'true' you are.And you did say that FedUp is 'all time best' and 'superior' which I repled to.

He had to pay French Open, Wimbledon, US Open and Aus Open becuase of the injury. Try to understand the context what I wanted to say. Because of his injury prone game he had to lost number 1 ranking.

Nadal is Something Else
by rajashi ghosh on Sep 10, 2010 03:44 PM  | Hide replies

I have seen so many tennis players come and go but the one thing that makes Nadal stand out is his aggression and the appetite to win. The way he moves around on the court is special. His never-say-die attitude and the look in his eyes make him the ultimate champion. He is not conventional like Federer and Sampras and yet he has the aura of a superstar. He might eventually not break federer's record but in my books, he is the very best purely for the pleasure and the energy that brings to the game of tennis.

Very well said Rajashi. To enter the tennis world at a time when Fedex was reigning supreme, and then systematically snatch everything away from him...it's awesome.Rafa is determination personified, and an inspiring personality.

Could not have agreed more. From being a clay court specialist to becoming an expert on all surfaces, Nadal has achieved everything through hardwork. There is something about him that is so raw, awe-inspiring and refreshing. I have seen tendulkar, schumacher, maradona, tiger woods, usain bolt, michael phelps but for me the most inspiring sportsman ever is Nadal, period.
