There was lot of hype around Argentina,yet when they faced their first serious opponent, they were thrashed 4-0 by Germany. English were unlucky coz had that goal been given against Ger, it would have been 2-2, and anyones game. Rooney wasnt fit as well. Now with Rooney,gerrard in form and some great young talent, Eng football team is on the way to the top. And argentina beat an experimental spain 4-1, so not much imp should be given.

Absolutely agree...Thats y Argentina cud manage to beat Spain which got the better of Germany in the World Cup

It could have been 5 or 6...it could have been our cup...it cud have been a goal....thts the whole england story in competitions!! when efficient stronger superior teams play with their first side in tournaments...we all know where england finishes!!
