Qureshi's grandfather, Khawaja Iftikhar, was the All-India champion before partition.

Qureshi has reached the finals of both mixed doubles and man's double at the US open..currently leading in Mixed double final which is going on..

@Raj Reddy, dont think all pakistanis are like that, may be some are like that, not all. They also love Peace, they also love Indians,we have not seen them in close quarters so we cant pass a judgement just like that.I sincerly, wish,we should be like EU,in the sense, free travel in the sub-continent,then it'll be better off, both for them and US.Politicians as long as they get mileage out of it,they keep distancing us ppl for a long time to come. Now to the actual point.Well done Aisam and Rohan.Keep the Peace flag flying high.

Sports is beyond religion and region
by san on Sep 09, 2010 10:51 PM

Kudos to these boys to think out of the box and form a partnership which has the potential to create Peace. As a human being who has respect for other people's views, feelings and perspective. Lets stop the habit of finding faults with other states/countries/religion/language. Every entity has something positive about it and why cant we focus on that. What we dont want is lives of common people affected because of religion/region/language. Every person has a right to live peacefully.

Lets take a pledge that we will not comment anything negative about anybody/any issue and see the good side of it. That itself will spread peace. Words have a lot of power and we have never realised that. Your comment has the ability to turn someone irrational and make them behave irrational. So please think twice before commenting and I kindly suggest to think and write postive things.

Congrats and good luck to the boys. We want them to win more laurels to both countries and we salute your attitude and thought process.
Thanks
A fellow Human being

There once was a pair

Bhupati and Paes. The idiots fought over a girl at a party and that was the end. You guys make sure you don't eye the same girl at the same party, if it comes to that, make it menage trois than having to split and lose your career. That's what those two idiots did not understand.

Dont get carried away by false intellectualism and false liberalism. One must always have a sense of proportion. Why not put someone who abuses and murders his wife (and maybe his family too!) also in the same group.

Who is this loser ?
by vijay M on Sep 09, 2010 10:04 PM  | Hide replies

Indians will forget everything so easily. They are sentimental fools. All they need is some crappy Bollywood dialogue and all is forgotten. No wonder India was occupied for so many years who first came in like friends and ruled us like slaves.
Pakistan has been bleeding India by a thousand cuts for decades and later giving hand for friendship. Indians are suckers for falling into their trap time and again.

Dont worry, now u are seeing Pakistan bleeding on all fronts. It is a nation that is finished and it is a matter of time before it disintegrates and vanishes from the world map. What u sow is what u reap.....which it has done fully now.
