Possible fraud in booking
I have successfully booked online thru internet & travelled on Tatkal booking several times.
But, after the introduction of 2 days Tatkal, it is impossible to get a booking online. Even if I am online, it doesnot accept until 08.00 AM. But, the moment it opens, the system stops working & comes back after 5-10 mins. only. By this time, all the tatkal quota is full.
The change intrduced by the new Railway minister in her budget is just for the change, it is neither benefitting genuine tatkal travellers.
Also, I suspect, there is a fraud being done by agents. Otherwise, it is impossible that all the tatkal tickets can go offline within 1-2 mins.
Indian Railways Software/Commercial people, I request you to investigate.

Murali' ball more valued than Sachin's bat
by Guru Tugginmypudha on Oct 31, 2010 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

Murali's 800 wicket record will stay longer and is tougher to acheive than the 14000 runs.

Murali has taken wickets against the strongest teams of the time unlike Sachin who has scored max runs against the minnows.

Yah Murali had taken 176 wickets against the best teams Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in 25 matches..Agst Aust and India his Average as a bowler stands at 36.06 and 32.61, respectively..In Aust and in India the average was 75.42 and 45.45, respectively..Great performance against strongest teams..Guru's comments made me laugh more than any joke I ever heard..In Zimbabwe Murali took just 26 wickets in 7 matches out of his 87 in 14 against them..On the contrary Sachin has scored 3151 runs against Aussies at 60.59..No doubt he scored heavily agst BD and Zim as well..However Sachin has scored just 12% of his runs agst those teams whereas Murali took 22% of his wickets agst those teams....

I agree...Murali's record of 800 wickets will even likely stand forever as it is unlikely that anyone else in the future would be allowed to so blatantly chuck the ball as he has done in his 'illustrious' career.

When you can blow taxpayer's money on crass stuff like CWG, why won't people buy such stuff as Sachin's bat in auction? At least another Sachin might spring up using that bat but CWG will never beget any sports culture in India. The stadia plus infrastrcture will rot (as it has been doing from the time after Asiad) being given to some Ramleela mandali or for marriages/ parties of the filthy rich or being used for undercover skin trade.

After all, thius is India!!!
