One does not require a raid by IT department to know which supplier got the contract and for how much. These information would already be available with audit office. Nor are people interested in knowing the party affiliation of the contractor or the members of the tender committee. Just because a contract has been awarded to a supplier, it need not mean the supplier or members of tender committee had some understanding. Media by reporting such things is trying to divert the issue. What we need to know is:
Was there any misdealing
Was there any misappropriation of funds
If so by whom and to what extent and what action is being taken against the culprit.
By Talking about just value of contract, political affiliation, caste religion gender etc of the persons - the issue will get diluted and the culprit will just escape.

You say they are not ready to give the names. But then how you have accused a BJP personal. All work done by Congress. Any good or bad should got to Congress led by Sonia & Manmohan. Why dragging BJP into CWG.

this was evident the day the games were awarded to India. All those responsible for the dirty laundering of tax payers money had already made their plans couple of years in advance. This has been going for years and not knowing is unbelievable. The culprits must be punished or else we will be known as a soft nation that encorages corruption largely and widely

So congress and BJP hand in hand , so after such a huge corruption of 75000 crores, the oppositions getting opportunity to speak was so mute. Anyway who was the distributor of the money , Kalmadi or Mittal? Mittal set contract with Kalmadi for providing tent in CWG, giving him contract if Mittal channelize half the money to Kalmadi. Mittal had got contracts worth Rs 230 crore, its not even 1000 crores, what about the balance 74,770 crores, is this with congress or in association with BJP?

Why should IT conduct raids? Do they want to assess IT on corrupt moneys? By that are they trying to legalise the entire transactions? If there are corruption charges, CAG and CVC may raid; or ED may raid; but what have the IT guys to do there?

Raid by IT is common in such cases. They are expert in assesing income and relating this to Income Tax. Their findings will help CVC and ED.

Nothing significant will come out of this probe. Some things are very predictable and you can see it all in the action that is happening!
# Look at the confidence of Kalmadi in saying that he will cooperate with the probe!
# Raids on BJP leader - go hand the leader if he is guilty but instead, Congress will just use this fact to try and shut others up. I hope BJP has the guts to sack this guy Mittal
# Nothing will be done about money spent outside the CWG - mind you 90% of expenditure was outside the purview of CWG and within the purview of Delhi govt
# Even within CWG, they will find some officers guilty and people like Kalmadi will not be touched

Corrupts and criminals always look confidience initially. So, is Kalmadi.
Dont think that BJP leaders are saints. You rightly hope that Mittal will be sacked by BJP. But look, what is hapening in Karnataka.
Money spent by Delhi govt is also under the scanner.

I totally agree with you but the tragedy for us is lack of alternative - I wish BJP or some other party was clean. The communists are clean but unfortunately that is their only qualification and they are in a mess otherwise - including on their flawed ideology. On last two occasions, during Lok sabha elections, Kalmadi has beaten one of the cleanest opponents one can think of - Arun Bhatia. Unfortunately, being clean is not sufficient to get votes - despite all the despair against corruption that you see around you!

Absolutely correct Heman.
When RG (young congress leader) tells that center sends money to Bengal or any other non-congress lead State, where it goes. It is very surprising that where center resides that is in Delhi only such a big money i.e. 70000 crores scam called as CWG happened, what he is doing? Just blaming non-UPA lead states. Open the eyes dear. But rightly said you can't see closer easily or i say you avoid it as both Delhi State & India is lead by Congress. BIG JOKE of common people by CWG & GoI
