I am great fan of Nadal the way he plays tennis around the world. At the small itself he has started doing charity work and no tennis player has visited india and that too for a charity. Good mind and he is a chamption citizen,. Min dyou he is not a publicity guy and he is too down the earth I as a person salute him for his wonderful deed.

Maybe nadal wants to develop a fan base in india. He is least popular in this cricket crazy country.

RAFA don't need to create fan base in India, he already huge fan-base currently. While other tennis stars always avoid to play in India, this champion regularly visit India to showcase his super tennis talent to Indian fans.

Indian Sporting icons

I guess Indian sporting icons and business men have to learn something out of this. I see lot of foreigners doing charity work in India and other parts of the world..like Nadal, Bill Gates, Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist doing charity work in India , Federer in South Africa etc..But if i see Indians , biggies like Ambani is trying to move to the costliest apartment , Sachin trying to buy Ferraris , Shahrukh and some other cine stars to buy IPL teams..I really think all these biggies have to learn something from them

Thank You Rafa. May you win a dozen more grand slams. Nadal what real humility you possess. It is certainly rare in this day and age for sure. What a miracle indeed.

Vamos Rafa

Nadal, what a down to earth person he is after winning so many titles and became world no.1 with sheer hard work, brilliance, perfection, dedication and commitment to the game.

I bow to this great champion for coming to Andhra Pradesh and starting his academy in AP. Why does he need to come to India, start a tennis academy and create a competition to his home country Spain in the years to come. All I can say is, Nadal, you are class and a champion and true tennis player.

By the way, did rediff say that "star hockey players" are goint to come to this academy to offer training? Training in what? hockey or tennis? Poor editorialship on the part of rediff.
