Medals or no medals atleast this kicks of a sentiment of sports in kids who otherwise have become accustomed to a sedentary life style.

Dont talk rubbish. The 2004 Olympic Silver medallist Rajyavardhan Rathore was CWG gold medallist in 2002. The Beijing Olympics Gold Medal winner Abhinav Bindra was Bronze medal winner in 2006 CWG. Vijender Singh, boxing silver winner in 2006 CWG was bronze medallist in Beijing Olympics 2008

You know why we wont be able to compete and win in Olympics, it is because of people like you, who make such negative comments. We take pride in hosting the CWG and winning 38 gold medals period.

The bitter truth is that India is not even going to win 10 medals in Olympics. Don't fool yourself.

by anand ganesh on Oct 14, 2010 09:00 PM

Congrats to all Indian medal winners including Sain Nehwal, Sushil Kumar, Deepika Kumari, Suranjoy.......
Congrats to Vajpayeeji under whose tenure in 2002, India first reached 30 gold medals. In all previous games, India got pathetic number of Gold medals like 7 golds(1998), 6 golds (1994), 13 golds (1990),5 golds(1986), 5 golds (1978), 4 golds(1974), 5 golds (1970), 3 golds(1966), 2 golds(1958). In 1958, 1966 and 1970, India finished behind countries like Pakistan, Jamaica etc in medal tally.

Indians in CWG
by Chandanita Pathak on Oct 14, 2010 09:00 PM  | Hide replies

India's performance in the recently concluded CWG was indeed marvelous....I had been closely following many of the sports played by our players and it was awesome to watch....Sania Mirza's silver n Saina Nehwal's gold are gr8 success stories....but i wsa pretty disappointed by the men's hockey team's loss in finals to Australia...they were simply crushed down....Anyways overall total time wasool performance by our players hope they can keep up the winning sprit in the subsequent asian games n next CWG in glasgow...all the best!!

Dont comapre Sania(silver medal) and Saina(gold medal). It was Saina's gold today that made us cross England's gold medal tally and finish second on medal tally.
