The closing ceremony was also well rehearsed. Kudos to the OC and the artistes. Now it is time to study and implent: a) how to utilize the monumental stadia and the first class facilities for the national good b) how to wake up the various sports bodies from their slumber and make them politics free and more useful to the nation's sportsmen and women. The inefficiency and unprofessional nature of the various sports bodies has to be forthwith eliminated and better and younger sportsmen as officials to be made to head the bodies throughout the country c)how the corruption can be expeditiously attacked at all the levels of the National Bodies who organise such events d) how to quickly find the culprits of the CWG XIX and mete out punishment without dragging feet, in a time bound manner to act as a lesson to others. e) to use the stadia for other major international events connected with sports at very low costs to amortise the huge expenditure already incurred by the GOI. Every one should realise that our bureaucracy is also equally responsible and accountable for the tardiness in completing the various facilities and the infrastructure. Finally thanks to the Delhi-wallahs for putting up with the brunt of the CWG XIX.

Not to worry about disposal of the huge real estate value created in Delhi. The real kickbacks will come from them and from the construction contractors. There would be money flow from the numerous service-agencies including publicity/marketing etc. The govt. must now take up thorough investigations of all financial transactions. Govt. must also summarily and quickly sack all individuals responsible eg Kalmadi, Dixit,Gill and others etc. If India spends 70,000 crore rupees for a show for 14 days in Delhi, its govt. must be prosecuted for abuse of our tax money and for gross injustice on the poor of this country.

U R abs right. The BPLs are nothing. Fit only for their party poster work. But the problem is where are we all going towards finally. When the fence is eating the food.
The PM should take things into his own hands and hand over reigns of sports adminsitration to sportsmen like Pandukone, PT Usha, A.Nacchappa and the like. The performances will be even better.

God forbid if our PM gets the sports charge. Because, he will do precisely nothing. He is an economist PM failure already. Let the sports take back seat and real needs of India the front seat. Let there be a dictator-govt. who will discipline this country with an iron hand. The wicked policy and practice of GoM and EGoMs started by this govt. must stop, and undo/sack all earlier GoMs/EGoMs. Let an active, upright retired or serving Military General or some such senior officer take charge.

Yes, why should this entire country continue to fool itself by Rahman? He is not and will never be a good singer, because he does not know the first thing about singing. His Oscars in "Millionaire" was a fluke, and it hit because a genius director used him in that picture. The music "fitted" somehow and the Oscars came because of that fitment. Let us put him in the place he belongs in.
Now lets get the coffins ready for Kalmadi, Gill, Bhanot and all those who have shamed India. These guys should be buried away from the sports administration for ever and appropriate proceedings should be initiated against them for all the commissions and omissions.

The vested interests in the biased foreign media are also to be blamed for shaming India.
Indians can do well, as the CWG success has shown. But it is good to look into the values we have missed in the process; like honesty, accountability, trasperancy, etc. francis john
so much silly lazor manipulation; senseless music; lack of coordination in group performances;pointless singing; wasting time in the characterless trooping of the contestants; the only worthwhile thing was the services band. crores wasted and nothing gained.

Sudhir, completely agree with you, just look at the show by scotland , wow!, what a spectacle to see them in the stadium. Our shows were really pathetic on comparing with them .. huh.. sigh
Games are over and we got medals. Now Credit games begin. Just a few days back- evryone was passing the buck and blaming others before start. Now Sheila dixit claims credit.Kalmadi claims credit. Governor claims. Secretary claims. Politician claims. Rahulgandi claims.
Mr.Kalmadi and Mrs.Dixit have full credit of the great event of CWG in Delhi? We salute to all the Indian Participants, volunteers, organisors and the Govt. for a great show.
