Yes, IBN confused me first. So England still have 3 Boxers in the Final and one with Indian Boxers. So If India win all 3 Gold means we will back to 2nd then

I think we need one Gold more than Eng, we are at par with them on Golds, right? I of course am hoping that we win all 3 boxing golds and English don't win any.

Well, England have 3 Boxers in the final and they also have lawn ball final today. If we win 3 means Eng definitely lose one and we wish in other 2 also they lose.

I strongly feel that State Govts should not be allowed to give out cash awards only for their state players. Afterall all the players are representing India, not their individual states

If Haryana did not promote sports with facilities and cash awards,India would have not achieved this feat today..All 3 olympic medalist of beijing leaving Abhinav were from Haryana..even today, the Manipuris are encouraged by Haryana,I salute the spirit of that state... Indian central government is incapable with a baffoon as the sports minister, your strong feeling is against the development of sports in current scenario..

@Tushar,its prerogative of the state..there should be a healthy competition between states to promote excellence, which will finally contribute to national excellence..

Im all for promoting sports. If states inject money in facilities and scholarships, its very commendable, but giving rewards to successful atheletes that too to their own state? I am not sure I like it very much.
