dumbo - only winners are tested for "performance enhancement" drugs and not the one that finished last.
Food supplements and coaching are to be blamed. No proper guidelines onto which supplements to take that may contain traces of banned substance in indirect chemical form. the same happened with Nigerian athletes. All they had was food supplement apart from the CWG village food.
If this is proven to be true it will be a sad day for Indian sport.
We are an Indian family living in Uganda and have followed the games every day. Some of the performances and achievements from Indian sports persons have been well merited and they have won against better prepared & fancied competetion. Some gold medal wins have not just been sporting wins but feats of honor.
It will be nice to see these sports persons get better coverage and recognition in your headlines, instead of only highlighting one single failing. Please do consider this so our sports persons can scale greater heights as they prepare for the Olympics.
