I posted long back when controversy started about the village that this is all hoo haa by west to ensure that English Royality have a say in opening ceremony. I still think the same. Also about empty seats... I am proud of Indian peoples stand that they wont be cavity searched to watch the so called British/Aussie stars

No need to regret all u or any indian was worried was the corruption and not the games village If there was any problem with construction.... CWG committe would not have allowed the games to begin.. Problem clearly seen is the delayed constructions and corruption.. waht all abuses u might have done was ok.... Any way hats off to Indian players who gave their best..

Donot get carried away Imran. It is this attitude of ours which lets us get abused over n over again by the filthy politicians. The delivery of the games infrastructure was poor and the bridge collapsing was inexcusable and so was using the services of the army for construction. The army jawans should not be misused by the govt to coverup the monery swindled by corrupt politicians.

The stadiums were not ready in time, thereby robbing the home atheletes the home advantage and the chance to practise at games conditions which any other host nation would have provided. The sand artists i read in another article on rediff itself had not practiced before and the live show was their first performance, totally unacceptable for a world class event though they deserve all the credit for pulling it off fine.

Imagine the kind of pressure we put on all our atletes and performers all of which was avoidable.

The CGW was a success inspite of Kalmadi, when it should have been because of Kalmadi

CWG - Organising committe
by Pankaj Mehta on Oct 11, 2010 01:55 PM

England head coach Danny Kerry questioned why organisers had scheduled such an important match at the hottest time of day.

He said: "You've got a women's semi-final in the middle of the day and a seventh-eighth play-off match in the evening.

"If someone could explain that to me... It's not a great advert for hockey. They've done the sport a disservice."

Kudos to the women wrestlers also-Alka Tomar, Geeta,Anita. They have made us proud in the comity of some 71 teams and 54 nations. This is a much greater acxhievement than making records in a sport played by 8 nations.
