Mittal Champions Trust supports Indian athletes with world-beating potential. It is funded by Lakshmi Mittal and was initiated by his son-in-law Amit Bhatia. It was founded on 9 November 2005 by Mahesh Bhupathi. The first beneficiary was Joshna Chinappa, India's best squash player. The trust aims at developing Indian athletes for the 2012 Olympics in London. The sports in focus are Squash, Badminton, Archery, Boxing, Shooting sports, Swimming and Heptathlon. The Chairman of the global steel numero uni Arcelor Mittal L N Mittal had earlier awarded a 1.5 crore cash award for Abhinav Bindra for winning the gold medal in Olympics. I wish our other corporate houses will also pump in money into olympic sports apart from cricket as success in olympic sports exhibits the strength of our youth power to the entire world...

1.5 crores to bindra for what? because his father is a business man and politically highly influential?
Gangan Narang did lot better than him, and even beat bindra.
