The speech-writer/teleprompter had some wicked sense of humor. I wish there were more. I remember Kalmadi had told earlier that the Opening Ceremony would be one of a kind. This is what he probably meant.
I am sure if it was not him- another clone like him could be found in Congress iftar party. After all the guy who gets Rs.100 to spend must be also getting a Rs. 99 target to keep Soniaji smiling -who is ofcourse an exraordinary MP.

Minor issues are non issues. What matters is that for every 100 earned - 99 are accounted for in Iftar party funds. For every Kammadi there is a substitute if he disobeys..
I remember Abhinav Bindra won the Gold medal in Beijing Olympic just before 15 th August. They were having Independence celebration in China. Mr. Kalmadi was delivering speech and he commented something like "We are proud of Abhisekh..". This bugger can not even remember our first Olympic gold medalist's name.
