But Malayasians played better ball game than Indians. Surprised to see that Indians are more slow, and less ball player than Malayasian.

Pretty difficult when Australians and English are there. If India can win any medal I'll be happy

You are right Asit. Malaysian's had better control of the game. It was a pity to see that Indians were still playing that individual game.
Quite satisfying to see that after all the recent controversies, CWG kicked off very well and seems to have caught the attention of International media and they seem to have appreciated the opening ceremony quite a lot.On the other hand Indian media after talking a little about opening ceremony of CWG seems to be talking a little about the sports events and paying their all attention towards cricket test match at Mohali. It's quite frustrating to watch all TV channels being so excited by India's win at Mohali and talking a lot about it non stop since after- noon. On the other hand, they seem to be little concerned about the achievements of other sports-persons who won five gold medals for the country and made India proud about it.If media is so callous about other sports events other than cricket, how India will progress in other games.Today, they should have been also talking about our wrestlers and shooters, who won five gold medals for the country. They are bigger heroes, as these games are not played by 6-8 nations but hundreds of nations world wide and winning gold in these events is far more creditable than a victory in test match today. After all Media has responsibility towards a positive change. verma, sahib, you don't need to depend upon those stupid TV channels for information against CWG. You can always use internet to find the news you want. I have been doing that.

Dear "Sports Lover"... Verma is making a point about the media, not the availability of information. If media plays a positive role in spreading the news about other sports, India will have a greater chance of producing more sports persons in sports other than cricket. Media shouldnot give undue importance to cricket. BTW... I'm a cricket lover too, but its a bit annoying to see the level of importance of media gives to Cricket.

Its not the problem of media channels but the problem of entire nation. we all do something to hate cricketer rather than blaming media, media is showing a mirror image of our face. If we become so overwhelm to see Sourav in TV channel rather than knowing even one scientist name or any scholar or their great life than what media can do for us. It is we are digging our grave but blaming others. start hating the cricketer then media will start reflecting others.

Mr Chakraborty, I love all sports. In fact cricket is first on my priority list. But as you can see I do follow other games as well. It is just personal choice. You don't have to hate one sport to love the other.

have come on the world stage and hope will never look back.hope the scandals in weightlifting is left behind and indians again start winning gold medals.also badminton.if indians can start winning in swimming and gymnastics it will be great.it is easy to sit on the armchair and sermonise for know how much sweat and blood goes in making champions.

I would also add fencing to the list of games we should concentrate. Fencing has about 10 medal events in olympics.
