"Ibrahim set a new Games mark of 116 kg in the snatch to claim first place with a total of 251 kg, after he lifted 140 in the clean and jerk".... 116 140 = 256 and not 251 !!!! Moreover, Ibrahim lifted 141 in Clean & Jerk, taking his total to 257. Have a standard Rediff

A report on BBC sport for those who no nothing than critisize
by sudhanshu singh on Oct 04, 2010 07:47 PM

Think we all know the stories of apparent disorganisation ahead of Delhi 2010. But here's a wee tale from BBC Sport athletics statistician Mark Butler which shows India is working hard to accomodate everyone's needs efficiently. "Earlier this week I experienced an episode which demonstrated that things are not as disorganised here as wider reports suggest. The screen on my laptop failed - a disastrous development for someone currently spending up to 18 hours a day putting together all the facts and figures needed to follow next week's athletics. The same evening a brand new screen had been fitted, all done with the minimum of fuss - which certainly was not the case when we were at the European Championships last month."

this game shud not be successful on our tax money Rs.1.7lakhcr. !
by Neutral on Oct 04, 2010 07:20 PM  | Hide replies

this game is the major reason of price rice in india! we r the sufferer! common indian do not need this game!

if this game is successful, all these corrupted in thousands crores will be boosted up and nobody will talk for action against them especially against this kureshKhalmadhi!

they will again try to organise olympic where another 3 to 4 lakh crore rupees of public money will be wasted!
in a country where, these corrupted politicians r not providing help for flood victim, they r sppending crore and crore rupees for charity game!
please note that there were at least 21000crores were demanded in utttrakhand, himacvhal pradesh flood but centre has anctioned only 500 crore ! why? no fund but for pakistan and charity game there r ample fund!

in a country wherew daily 25000citizens r dying on hunger, can we afford such charity for Rs. 1,75000crore!

so, success of this game will blunt every body and every body will be unspoken even opposition parties!
everything is well for him, if end is well!
so, in case of successful, kureshKHALMADHI will be a untouchable figure and will get public sympathy!

so, let us pray for disaster of CWG! only disaster will obstructfrom india from hosting olympic and wasting public money!
they r taking all cheap publicity on our money! dont forget this!

LET US BOYCOTT THIS GAME AND CONVEY OUR PROTEST TO THOSE DUMB AND DEAF RULERS!

Why this nihilistic attitude? Everyone knows about India's shortcomings: the corruption, malnutrition, child labor, female foeticide, alarming pollution, increasing population and on and on. Those problems have been there and probably will remain as long as these corrupt criminals sit in the parliament and rule the roost. For once, India has been able to showcase its brighter side to the world and for once everyone's praising the great effort that was put into last. Night. Do you feel that negating the better aspects of life will automatically take care of the problems we are facing. Have you ever imagined that if India can come out of the controversies and host a successful game at least there's something to be happy about amidst the all round despair....
