Fedex Vs Nadal

Sure one of the best contest you can witness when these 2 play. Eventhough Nadal will break all the records, even if he plays decent tennis till age of 30, I think Federer is better player.
Nadal won his first Grand Slam at 18-19, now he is 24 in the last years won 9 GS, out of which 5 is french.
Fed won his first GS at 24, till then won 16 GS..Was there in 22 finals if I am right and 23 consecutive Semi finals and 24 QF, which is becos last 2010 Wimbeldon.
Nadal Vs Fed 14-9, but out of this if I am right 10 victories are in clay. So in their H2H of 12 matches, Fed has won twice in Clay against, which means they have met 12 times in clay and 10 times in other courts. the H2H is now 7-3 in favor of FED>
The best part I felt is FED was able to consistently make it to Clay meetings with Nadal..Same is not the case with Fed.. So I feel FED is better player.. Sure 2 more French Open GS would put him greater than all legends.

Your post seems like a tongue twister and crossword puzzle combined together.

It is simple Ravi... Almost after winning their first GS , I see both were almost for 5-6..It is clear Fed was better during this time frame.

H2H looks bad..but most the H2H is in Clay Court..which is well known fact Nadal is King of Clay..But we also need to see other courts..where I beleive FED leads.

Fed won his first GS about a month shy of his 22nd B'day in 2003.

You are right Anand. Fed won his first GS in 2003 wimbeldon.. If I am right Nadal in 2005 French..So a 2 yrs gap...it is 7 yrs for Fed asnd 5 ys for Nadal..

Paul Annacone effect

I think ever since Paul Annacone has joined the FedEx team things are looking really good for Roger. He's slowly regaining the self belief which was missing since a long long time. And to beat Rafa consistently self belief is an absolute must. Hope we can all witness the resurgence of Roger in 2011.....also with Rafa at his peak, tennis standards would be at an all time high. Cheers to a fantastic 2011.

that's the way

Even though Nadal looked a little tired, Fedex played aggressive tennis. Trying to run around Nadal's second serve with his forehand,by coming in more often and shedding inhibitions with his backhand cross-courts. At last, he seems to have discovered the strategy and so 2011 promises to make the contests more even.
