His actual test will be in 5 setter matches where Nadal is awesome.....kind of energy outburst Nadal gives in the 4th and 5th set is uncomparable.....

You maybe right....but in the Roger-Rafa matches i feel its more of a 'mental' thing than ability. Technique wise and ability wise Roger is way way ahead of Rafa which btw Rafa himself modestly admits. But the 'desire to win' and the mental toughness of Rafa is what makes him win against Roger.

Dude, I m not taking out anything from yesterday's win against Rafa. I saw the match, Fedex was master in the first set. Next, Rafa showed his class in 2nd set. But, in third, Rafa lost the momentum due to may be lack of concentration, energy(Energy swapping match against Murray in Semis)etc.but they were Rafa's Mistake and should not be counted for Roger. But,also Rafa was not as determined as he plays in GS.We can see in his body language yesterday;if he takes it a little 0.1% more serious about the last Masters(o2,will definitely win a couple of them if not eclipsing Roger. Now,to the line of ur's "cut Nadal down to size again", it ill never gonna happen but only in ur dream! How many times Rafa has shut ur kind mouths(Zillion times!!)okay, now just look at the groups:
Rafa v/s Roddick(Fine Indoor/hard court player;not to forget his bullet serves) v/s Djokovic (Mercurial Player, best only after Roger,Rafa) v/s T/Berdych(Gaint,with high speed aces!)
GropuB:
Roger(Master) v/s A.Murray(Real Competitor) v/s Soderling(Never a competition) v/s D/Ferrer(Joke that he is playing against Roger)
Now compare between these two groups:which one is tougher. U can take out Berdych if u argue(but i wont);still Rafa has to fight with 2 other high quality players(that's hwy he lost a set to Roddick;may be one more to Djoker, thanks to his eye problems for not happening and saving Rafa's energy!)
It is joke that Roger wasted little energy to lift his 5th cup!
But,con

Subramani....As per your analysis, lets swap the groups. So now Fed has to contend with Roddick (who he's cut to size in all corners of the planet), Djokovic (he smashed him in the semis) Berdych (lesser said abt him the better). So our friend Rafa is now left with Murray (he scraped through just abt and Murray has a better H2H against him on hard courts), Soderling (the guy could have ripped him apart on this surface), Ferrer (I agree that its a joke to have him playing).
So lets not take anything away from either of these blokes. The two of them are gr8 friends and have tremendous respect for each other bcoz they are both fantastic ambassadors for the sport. Rafa may overtake Fed in terms of Grand Slams but Federer is the true champion (attribute that to his graceful style of playing). By the way, just to answer your 'last comment' watch Rafa's interview where he admits that Roger was unplayable in the 1st set. Rest my case.

Did i tell Roger is not the greatest!phew! non-sense person talking about tennis in most senseless way and keeping the name as sense talk is a big irony!
Roddick is harder to beat in hard courts. Soderling again no match for Roger as his head count says..and Ferrer a joke anyway!(as u said) Now Rafa is competing against 3 capable players on hard court v/s Roger competing against 2 players, out of which 1 is of no competition(Soderling)
dude, reda my message properly, I have never underestimated Roger, he is a class apart.Rafa is 2nd best in terms of his class but the grit,determination,hunger-to-win ,modesty etc will outshine Fedx! Thats it.
Think straight,act smart,get well soon!

Subramani: You are suffering from the same illness all Nadal fans suffer from. For the last 5 years (2006 to 2010) both Rafa and Roger are playing the same opponents and their results are outstanding. But according to Rafa fans, Roger had no good opponents when he won his grandslams, whereas Rafa has great opposition. I fail to understand the logic. Similarly, everyone talks of their H2H. Agreed, Rafa is dominant on clay courts. Outside clay, they are even stevens. It is the clay court wins that makes H2H of Rafa so lopsided. Rafa fans will be blind to it. Probably more people like Rafa because he appears more human, makes winning a tennis match appear so difficult whereas Roger makes it appear easy with his ballet like movements. They both are equally great players, with Roger being certainly ahead at this point of time in terms of greatness. Even at 29 if he can push his younger opponents [he beat Soderling (5), Murray (4), Ferrer (7), Djokovic (3) and Rafa (1)] in the year end Masters and lift the trophy for the 5th time (Rafa is yet to win one, lest you forget), it is indeed an outstnanding achievement. May be, with his body remaining fit, Rafa may overtake Roger at some future time. Till then, Roger is the greater of the two and certainly more pleasing to watch. So, kindly do not belittle Roger!

Class is always permanent..
by Rajesh Shetty on Nov 29, 2010 11:42 AM

This shows class is always permanent. True that Federer has always been Nadal's scalp. But that does not make him any less great. Hope this rivalry continues for a few more years. I wont be surprised if Fedex continues his 'loss-less' steaks and goes on to win a few more grand slams in the years to come. Bcos he still has a few years of tennis left in him. Great for tennis..

One must learnt how to play tennis effortlessly from Roger. He never gets injured and keeps away from the game.
He never appears to play like warrior but a cool game
He plays a game like a sportsman and not like a warrior.
That is the secret of his longevity as a Tennis Champion.
