Like Brasa said it is not the common man (or hockey players in his case) but the system which is rotten. The rot does not end with hockey but with every government dealing in India.
AND WHAT ELSE U EXPECT. since 1947 we are continuing with the same rotton system , where theory is more important than practicals / piles of paper work to decide whether ant stole the sugar / corruption and protective politics into such incidents / power politics / leg pulling / imputence of judiciary are all we have in this country.
besides lack of fore sight and selfishness with bloated egos of the bureaucracy are icing on the cake.
and still we and our concocted history books glorify , the copycat ambedkar , womaniser nehru , infidel gandhi and other stooges of congress.
They try to tell congress fetched us independence and as if the rest were sleeping ( they have subdued names of other towering personalities whodidnot owe much allegiance to the congress )
Sports Authority of India = Business Org. I was a state level TT player...I was so mindfucked with the politics I quit too...but well I'm better off now, found passion elsewhere...the system needs to change...
He was definitely path changing coach and whatever Indian hockey state has acquired, it is because of him. But he did mistake of criticizing on the spot and bluntly. He obviously did so to make players aware of their potential weaknesses and attempted to make them professional. Star Players in India dont like to be told where and when they are wrong after few successful matches. We can be talented, hardworking, successful but professionalism is something we need to develop in long term. And we all know the state of Babudom attitude we have. I know lots of Spainiards in person and they are very hard working people at the same time enjoying life a lot. I really wish he stayed here for longer time
He did not do the best, but at least much better, where Indian Hockey team was one year back. If he were given some more time, we could have seen some good results from Indian team fr coming Olympics. Yes, I was very much confident, if Barsa will be there, at least India wil qualify for Olympics, with others God knows

that idoit Batra , does he understand anything about Hockey or coaching , Brasa did well should be treated with due respect
It is such a shame. Under this coach, India got Azlan Shah cup, silver at CWG and a bronze at Asiad. India was the best team in Asiad, and could have done better if Malayasia did not have all the dodgy umpiring decisions in their favor.
The Indian team now plays with a system as opposed to playing with individual flair. India is now playing modern hockey. That is what Mr. Brasa has done to Indian Hockey. Mr. Brasa, you will be positively remebered by hockey lovers in India.
