every indian should bow his head in respect to shri kaloo-madi ji for it was his great efforts and vision that we are what we are today. had he not ashamed us, our kids would not have been charged to prove him RONG !!
After 28 yrs India could only manage one extra gold? Frankly I am not happy with the Indian Sports Authority. Are they not ashamed of standing in 6th place in ASIA? We need discipline and proper management in distribution of funds to our athletes who sweat it out on the field. The indian govt needs to know that our global status and respect is dependent on our ability to rank high in any form of competition. Wake up India. We have a long way to go!!!!!

Our politicians are more interested in recruiting youths in political parties rather than atheletics, so there is nothing wrong with people. It is fault of politicians.

Sports like Taiko, Kwako etc are not known to most Indians. Even swimming etc, there is no facility in most of India. So, there is nothing great about China in sports.

junior don, you are an idiot, go thru the list of medals won sports/event wise, you will observe that china participated in 36 sports out of the 42 being held & won golds in 30 sports & over and above won medals in all the 36 sports they took part.moreover there is no sport by the name of twaiko,& kwako, look up the list of sports/events held in asiad 2010.improve your knowledge about international sports prior to writing.

you should wake up Anup, in 1982 India was the host and the number of competing countries was much lesser, Russian fragments like kazakhistan were not part of this games and China was not the super power it is today. In fact 20 years ago in 1990, India had managed only 1 gold, and this time in the dragons cave we won 14 golds. Try to appreciate the athletes rather than sitting on a chair and criticizing.
Where is Kalmadi now, has he not come back from China. Was he successful in bidding for the next Asian Games for him and his company to loot more money.
