No highlight of Somdev Deb Barman by Rediff just because he is from Tripura.....

Somdev Dev Barman belongs to same clan as Great RahulDev Barman/Sachin Dev Barman from Tripura

At the end of the day,India is in 10th position with total 46 medals(7 gold,13 silver and 26 bronze),7 short of Doha Asiad. Apart from Tarundeep Rai’s silver,5 boxers semifinal victory and Mary Kom’s loss were significant events of the day….India medal prospects 25.11.2010

•      Chess 8th round,1 round short of final 9th round.At the end of 7th round, women are in joint top with China with 13 points, men in 3rd place with 9 points,philipines in 2nd ,12 points and China leads with 14 points.
•      Tintu Luca and SinimolePaulose in women’s 800 meters final
•      Geeta Satti in womens 200 meters final
•      Sathya Suresh will run in men’s 200 meters final
•      SundaramSaraswati will throw women’s javelin
•      Vikash Krishan and Dinesh Kumar will appear in boxing gold medal bout.Other Indian boxers will appear in final on 26th
•      BS Punir will row in men’s 1000 meter singles Kayak final
•      Oinam Jamesboy singh will sail in men’s 1000 meters single Canoe final
•      Ajit Kumar Sha and Prakant Sharma will row 1000 meters doubles Kayak final
•      Indian team will fight it out in 1000 meters Kayak Four
•      Indian men will play hockey bronze medal match against South Korea

Mary Kom's loss meant she was an unnecessary hype, SURE SHOT GOLD and all that. When the real test came , she failed.

Mary Kom participated in a weight category 48-51 kgs..whereas she is world champion in 45-48 kgs category(this category is not there in Asiad)..so,she tried to fight in a higher category where the Chinese was the olympic champion to whom Mary eventually lost..

but she is 5 time world cup champions which is no fluke...her loss was shocking..but then in boxing margin of error is pretty less

•      In Kabaddi semi finals Indian men will be up against Japan and Women will be facing Iran
•      GauravSindhiya,SiyemLinzaFenny and GunasekharanKarthik take part in Karate event
•      Rajiv Tomar,NirmalaDev and MausamKhatri will appear in wrestling

We can hope atleast 3-4 golds tomorrow….fingers crossed as 25th and 26th are important days for India ,hopefully the best..Asiad closes on 27th ..good night..

Not quite right,Preeja Shreedharan who won gold in 10,000 meter is from the south.Tintu Luca is expected to win gold in 800 meters.Virothu Santhosh Kumar in boxing finals..we all are Indians yaar..

AH.MC.BC.BTD. chinese referres gave the decision agnst Chotta Tyson Suronjay ....everyone was clear that he had landed more punches than his opponent though he didnt get any points...
