Kalmati is directly responsible for this surge in atheletics. Two gold medals in atheletics and so many medals in other sports. Really shameful day. I demand immediate arrest of Mr. Kalmati. Who knows, India might overtake China some day, if these croooks continue. Remember, Prevention is always better than cure. he He He He.

Hooray to the athletes and Shame on the officials
by DEVARAKONDA RAVINDER on Nov 21, 2010 07:01 PM  | Hide replies

Hearty congratulations to Sodhi, Preeja, Kavita, Sudha and all the medal winners. When Preeja and Kavita made it a 1-2 for India, when Sudha fought back a late challenge from the chinese girl to win the gold, was there no official to hand them an Indian Flag for them to wave proudly. Poor Sudha went sprawling on the ground in exhaustion and not a soul to even lift her up and hug her for her achievement. Would this ever happen on a cricket field? SHAME on the officials who go with the athletes for a free foreign trip. Couldn't they even carry an Indian flag to the stadium. WHY DO WE SEND SUCH IDIOTS with the sportsmen/women? The Indian Federations are nothing but fiefdoms of petty politicians and the winning athletes get a Group 'D' or LDC/UDC jobs in railways. These winners deserve a better deal. However, many many many congratulations to all the medal winners again.

Well said. In fact Sreeja was looking for an Indian flag. She was indicating to Indian camp to give her Indian flag. But none came. She then, along with Kavitha, circled the stadium without Indian flag. As you said correctly SHAME on Indian officials.
