Chinese players are getting favorable draws in all events. Notice how Chinese are avoiding playing against better players in Quarter & semi final stages. Case in point archery, they intentionally underplayed in qualification to avoid meeting Korea in the semis. India now has impossible task of defeating Koreans in semis.

There are so many events with Indian hopes still remaining . How can u compare the gold tally after 8 days with the entire tally 4 years back . Remember that so many teams ahead of us like Indonesia , Malaysia , North Korea and Uzbekistan do not have strong medal prospects in the remaining events . I may be sticking my neck out on this but I expect our final gold tally to be around 12 golds and a probable 4th or 5th place. If u think i'm being blindly optimistic then consider the following prospects . Kabaddi - 1 gold Boxing - 2-4 golds in mens and one sure gold in womens Wrestling - 2 golds is a conservative estimate Atheletics- 3-4 golds . If this surprises you please understand that in four events , Indians have the best results in Asia this year . Tennis - With 4 confirmed medals we may get one or two golds . Hockey - a possible gold Volleyball - a possible medal Chess - 2 medals with one possible gold . Let's wait for the final tally before criticizing this group .
