News channel say medal confirmed for Sania as she has entered Semi final. Of the 4 people in semi, only 3 can get medals right?? still it is not confirmed. However as an Indian I am optimistic and eager to see her winning gold. All the best Sania ji

SANIA and SAINA
by Dhantannan on Nov 19, 2010 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

SANIA is doing well in Asiad as she has no competition in major rival countries.
SAINA on other hand had to face hongkong,China etc.
so even if sania gets gold .. she knows her standing.

The difference is quite clear:
Sania: muslim
Saina: Hindu

So nobody misses oppurtunity to abuse Sania

That may not be the exact reason. The main reason is that she married a Pakistani.

Well that IS indeed crazy. Sania never won any big tournament and most of the bigwigs from Tennis are not from Asia that's why people are not praising Sania.

On the other hand Saina is the only non Chinese in Badminton rankings. This game is dominated by ASEAN countries that's why people are praising her. As she made her own place in top league.

Saina was seeded 2nd while Sania was unseeded , so I'm not sure where you got this idea of Sania having no competition . In any case there is no need to abuse Saina for losing as she faced a good opponent and fought well just as there is no need to abuse Sania for marrying a Pakistani ( I assume that's why everyone is braying for her blood now ) . She married for love and love doesn't ask for nationality first . Oh 'and for all those fanatic idiots who'll start abusing me now - I'm an Indian Hindu and I'm proud of it .

CWG and ASAID
by abc_xyz abc_xyz on Nov 19, 2010 03:17 PM  | Hide replies

Badminton is tougher in Asiad than CWG due to China, Thailand and Indonesia
Tennis is easier in Asiad than CWG due to absence of Australia, England
Hockey is toucher in CWG (almost on par with Olympics, with only Spain, Argentia missing), but a cakewalk in ASAID (only Pakistan and S Korea and to some extent Malaysia, Japan are worthy of fight to India)
Atheletics is a the sam at both the places ( as India is way below the world level)
Shooting is almost same
Boxing is tougher in Asiad than in CWG due to presence of Khazakistan, Uzbekistan etc
