Beyond cricket ,hahaha
by Ajai Jacob on May 25, 2010 04:57 PM  | Hide replies

Don't worry, these openings will get closed soon.Lazy Indians have identified themselves with lazy cricket.
Cricket is one of the least popular games in the world.ICC tried to popularise it,but failed.T-20 is the latest gimmick. This will also fail.
Football is the most popular game in the world. There is no comparison of football with cricket.Cricket will remain in India,if not elsewhere, even after 100 years.Indians are not capable of playing the vigorous, demanding game of football properly.Maybe due to the frailer physical structure.
Hence Indians are stuck with lazy games like cricket which is the garbage left by the British, when they left India.

We all Indian must understand, on what we are good at. Why we praise the foreigners doing.

We are the best in our own place. Look at current recession through out the world and few asian contries like India and China had list impact.

Lets Have Quota System for Indian Team
by Merabharat Mahan on May 25, 2010 01:04 PM  | Hide replies

We should introduce Quota System in Sports immediately.
Each Indian team should have equal representation of women, SC, ST, OBC, Minorities.
Indian Cricket Team, Football Team, Hockey Team and even our representation for Olympics or even Individual games like Chess, Tennis, Billiards, Squash should be on the basis of reservation !

It requires a totally different discipline
by bn yalamalli on May 25, 2010 12:36 PM

Who sponsored Abhinav Bhindra and what was the expenses? Is the same available to the lads of all other sports sponsored by Government managed by politicians?

It is told that Chinese Government identifies, selects sportsmen and women in the early age of young kids, adopts them and brings up separately. For each Olympic, there is a different group like this is nurtured. Is it ever possible in India run by politicians?

Chinese race as a whole has a discipline in every thing they do, especially on the intake of food, a food with nutrition values irrespective of the taste, and a food taken without fail at 7am. 12 noon and 5 pm without eating anything in between. Are we, Indians, ready to do this to improve our general health and phisique?
And finally how to prevent persons like Gills, Pawars and Modys to be in charge of the games?

Promote football and olumpic game.

India is sick of cricket. too much fantasy. hardly many people play cricket.
Instead business leader should promote and give pblicity to foot ball, running, swimming etc. that would make indian strong. since many would easily participate, not just fantasize like cricket. Media can alwasy highlight them. Business leader can make money and creat jobs for people by this.
