if intellectuals like anand spent time solving problems of the
real world instead of wasting time on a childrens board game then
the world would be a better place.

Childrens board game? Who is this idiot to call chess a childs board game? Can he even stand up to a state level player? Even if he tried, he would be royally ra$#d.

Mr Anotherdumb Indian, please limit yourself to watching porn on the net or some stupid TV serial.

Not Really.
If people assigned to do their jobs in their respective positions did them right, we have no need for a chess player to solve poverty in Dharmgha village in Bihar.

The problem we have is, folks assigned to do their jobs dont do it. especially in countries like India who are 'like that only'

Man over machine.
by exotic on May 21, 2010 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

It is such a fulfilling feeling that the human mind has got the better of the machine.

HAts off to you Anand for using the HUMAN C LUSTER to defeat the machine.

We are really proud of you.

On another plane it affirms our faith as Indians that after all there is a DIVINE power that all machines put together cannot surpass.

Do you think Topolov would not have prayed to that supposed divine power ? In that case who the divine will help - Anand or Topolov. Further it is foolish to imagine that a divine being (if it infact exists as you presume) will monitor chess tournaments and fancy a winner. That sounds a bit ridiculous for me. I do not know how that is for you.

Just like in Greek mythology there are God of War, God of Love etc... there is a God of Chess. That God will monitoy important chess tournaments and fancy a winner!

Unfortunately for Topolov and also for non believers like you, the God is extremely happy with Anand and is standing by him for years!! :-)

It is such a fulfilling feeling that an Indian has conquered a machine. Hats off to you ANAND. Proud of you.

On the other plane it gives us confidence and hope that whatever we do the HUMAN MIND has no parallel. It in some other way affirms our faith in the Power of the Almighty.

Well done the HUMAN CLUSTER...

Jai Hind

Is there going to be a Kasporov-Anand match..?
by Rajesh Shetty on May 21, 2010 11:48 AM

Is there going to be the match of the century ? Kasporov-Anand match ? Earlier it used to be Gary Kasporov-Anatoly Karpov. I would love to see Anand taking over Kasporov. Though Anand has beaten Kasporov once or twice in his lifetime, he has always come second best in tournaments. I wonder if time is ripe to test who is the best currently. Of course, Kasporov has a better win percentage than Anand, but still it would be a great match.
