animals appeal to children...not futuristic aliens
by Indian on May 20, 2010 11:39 AM

Animals appeal to children and not some gizmo mascots. Endangered species could have been great mascots as they tell the kids that they are endangered and teach them a bit about environment in a subtle but an assertive way along with sports and excitement. The future of the world is always in the hands of the next generations!

Kids will like it
by R Fernandes on May 20, 2010 11:34 AM  | Hide replies

Organizers may be right: kids may like it. Today's kids trip on Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Ben 10. We adults cannot understand what they see in these weird creatures. So may be it will be a hit.

get your facts right. It's not today's kids who trip on Pokemon and DBZ.They've been there since the early 90s. DBZ has a cult following of both kids adults just like Star Wars or Start Trek

Olympic mascots have diminished in stature for decades now
by Oomshik Tooshik on May 20, 2010 11:14 AM

who remembers Olympic mascots of the last few Olympics. hardly anyone. Ppl remember old mascots from 70s and 80s like Misha bear, I heard.

Now mascots are uninspired

Nonsense.
by Gopi on May 20, 2010 11:13 AM  | Hide replies

Is that a mouth or eye or nose ? Expressionless face and doesn't even resemble like a face of any creature. Worst creativity. Do they have any common sense at all ? It's an insult to all the earlier mascots. Either this mascot should be banned or it should be burnt down once the games are over. A 5 yr old kid can draw a better face.
