King Nadal
by laishram guneshwor on May 17, 2010 12:43 PM

A welcome return of the king -Nadal. Congrats, Nadal. Last year fans were disappointed and really missed his great shots. Now he is back in action with full fitness. It is good news for all tennis lovers. Now we can hope to see great matches in coming days.
Oh Nadal,Beat that 'boring' legend called Fedex with your punishing shots like you have done yesterday and on earlier occasions. Hope you will put an end to the so-called Fed era and continue to entertain tennis lovers.
Good luck to you for Roland Garros.

Amazing match

It was an amazing match but federer was not far behind he used more variety and had some beautiful winners. The single backhand is the one thing which nadal is cashing upon. Anyways congrats nadal.

Yesterday match....
by Anurag Rathore on May 17, 2010 11:14 AM

I saw the live match. Federer did some unforced error in 10th game of 1st set. Hw was 40-15 ahead in the game and had 2 break points. But he lost the game as well as set. In 1st game of 2nd set he was 30-0 ahead on his service but he again made unforced errors and lost the service.

Overall I can say Federer had the chances in the match. Age is catching him up still he gave tough fight to in form Nadal on his favourite clay court. I don't think Federer will win any more GS. Best of luck for his future.

Actually, hats off to Nadal. He was coming back from an injury, lost almost thewhole of last year and this was a big game for him. Did a phenomenal job mentally. I feel he has a clear edge over Federer mentally.

Clay and beyond

Nadal is Clay King.
But after 18 Masters Titles,
6 Grand Slam Titles, he Still No 2 !!!!!!
We can imagine What must be NO 1.... and know him very well.
Yesterdays match was very close but it was Nadal's ground coverage than gave him edge.

Federer.............

Federer actually played excellent game .But in Tie -Break it was luck factor that gave Nadal much needed Title,Cly King Title Can be shared between Nadal and Federer. Even though Nadal has more Clay Title, Federer has manage to reach Final on Clay several Times, this is NO mean achievement. Except Nadal he has beaten every one on Clay.

Congrats Nadal!!!

One thing to note was Federer was more at ease and looked to gain momentum as the game proceeded.

A best of 5 would have shown a different result.

Record masters title

Nadal definitely is a better player than anyone on clay courts. The ball just slows down after bounce and nadal can retrieve it however difficult and has a better court coverage. It was really a good match for nadal making it his 18th masters title.

Nadal v/s Federer

The pressure to win is on Federer. Also majority of the matches they played were on Clay, where Nadal has an edge. When you see it like this, Federer clearly comes out as better. And now having achieved everything that is there, he is not so much motivated as he was earlier. But let's look at Wimbeldon this year...

So you found the reason why Fedex loses - he is not motivated to win!!!! Ridiculous! Hahaha

So henceforth Fedex will keep on losing as he has done after Aus Open. And to Nadal, he has been a loser- 14-7 and counting ...
